Not sure the exact order they count.

Biden did stretch Hillary’s margin of victory in Dane County (Madison).

It’s going to be close. Milwaukee turnout wasn’t as high as they hoped.

Man, I saw a Trump win coming. Same thing as 2016. No one thought the rural voters would come out and the suburbs would be slightly ahead for dems and the cities would be the difference.

But here comes the rural voters again.

Biden wins the majority. Trump wins the electoral Again, GOP wins the right places.

PilotMan 11-04-2020 12:02 AM

I am going to bed feeling better than 2016, but still amazed that there are this many people out there who really think he's worthy? It is feeling a lot like 30s Germany in here before the election. If trump wins again it might inch further down that path.

The electoral advantage inherent for Republicans is staggering when all votes are equal. Theoretically.

I'd vote for any Dem candidate against Trump. You said you'd vote for Trump if you don't get your way. That's all you need to know to know the difference between us. You'd vote Trump, I wouldn't.

(I'd actually bet money you tantrum voted for Trump last time and maybe this time. Or that you didn't bother to vote at all.)

tarcone 11-04-2020 12:06 AM

I would go with a populist Dem. Damn, I gave money to Yang this year. Guy has some good ideas.

Too bad we live in a country with 2 parties that neuters any populist candidate that would win.

I mean, as someone who doesn't care for Bernie, I would absolutely get behind him and/or any other progressive. Hell, I look forward to voting for AOC at some point, because her brand of progressivism doesn't completely discount pragmatism, which is a big issue for me in a Presidential candidate (also why I supported Warren).

Butter 11-04-2020 12:09 AM

So like Gayle King is pretty useless on CBS.

Van Jones started talking and I couldn't wait to turn the channel from CNN, and I'm a lib.

Is that racist?

tarcone 11-04-2020 12:09 AM

When will Michigan some in?

Go to bed loser. See you in 4 years. Tell me if you're still flying planes for a commercial airlines or if you're lucky to get a job for Koryo Airlines... oops American Airlines in 2023.

You'd be wrong. Dem down ticket the last 8 years.

Cant wait for you Boomers—the worst, most selfish generation in American history—to die off.

But yea, lets just keep counting on "tHoSe InDePENdeNrt VOteRs are WheERE ITs At" and "socialism" and "healthcare for all" cant win. Funny how we were worried that Amy Comey Barrett would decide this election and now we are wishing she would. Y'all idiots are like hanging onto FOX NEWS polls hoping they are correct at this moment... lol.

And maybe you're right. But tell me a platform that doesn't have a last name of Clinton/Obama/Biden/Gore and LMK who not to vote for and lets get behind the same candidate in 2024.

tarcone 11-04-2020 12:12 AM

Trump only down 22 in the biggest Dem county in Wiscy compared to losing it by 37 in 2016

Get bent and sober up. Tell us again how crying about your loser candidate was the solution. I'm guessing you were part of the problem 4 years ago that got us in this. Great strategy there. You keep running with that.

tarcone 11-04-2020 12:14 AM

Jeez, in this world of technology, it really takes this long to count votes.

Jfc dude. You don't know fuckall about anything.

tarcone 11-04-2020 12:16 AM

6 states are holding this up. Get over yourselves and get shit done.

tarcone 11-04-2020 12:17 AM

Look at us, we are more important than you. We are going to hold off until it is determined or our state matters the most.

Stupid.

PilotMan 11-04-2020 12:19 AM

It's almost the exact states that were predicted to be the difference makers. Almost like it was anticipated. Look, there are some worse numbers than anticipated, but by and large, there haven't been any shocking results.

Ksyrup 11-04-2020 12:20 AM

Seems fishy to me that CNN waited until well after midnight to call FL and TX for Trump. Those were gone a couple hours before midnight.

tarcone 11-04-2020 12:22 AM

100 million dollars spent on a senate race. Yeah, our political system rocks.

CNN has been conservative on all of their calls, even ones that look like they'll go to Biden (AZ, VA).

It's a travesty that that kind of money was spent all over the races.

Get bent and get drunk. I would if I was you. Because your next job is probably coming in 2-4 years Pilot Boy. Literally if it wasn't for a bailout and a stimulus bill that ran out you probably wouldn't even be weighing in on today if we'd done this correctly.

Cant wait to see you whining here like you usually do about your job and how hard the airline industry is for pilots and begging for federal money to bail your ass out for the 3rd time in 10 years so you have a job.

But socialism bad. Unless it helps you out. Fuck off.

You'd vote for Trump. You have no say. Despite your irregular capitalization. Which is super edgy.

I guarantee neither AOC or Bernie would vote for Trump or insult other allies about their lives and jobs and views. They were, and are, trying to build something bigger. People like you hold them back.

Butter 11-04-2020 12:27 AM

I've watched John King on CNN say literally the same thing about Pennsylvania about 15 times. Must be time for bed

tarcone 11-04-2020 12:29 AM

Yeah. Im out. This is ridiculous that 6 states are holding up the process. Get your shot together.

ISiddiqui 11-04-2020 12:31 AM

Nebraska District 2 projected for Biden. Biden just needs Wisconsin and Michigan to get to 270.

Hyberbole statement. Would obviously never vote for Trump. The point being made is that the current DNC candidate selection process is clearly not working/flawed/not jiving with voters who MATTER (aka YOUNG minority voters). So maybe, just maybe, it is high time y'all coalesce behind the the "left" candidate. Let's try it. Maybe you'll like it.

And you want to be the spokesman for the party? No wonder you can't beat anyone. You couldn't think your way out of a paper bag. I love how you're cherry picking here. It's almost like.. wait no, sorry, you're completely fucking clueless. Make up whatever shit fits your narrative. Go back to the armchair and keep screaming about how much you fucking care. You ain't done shit. Walk on man. You're fucking pathetic.

molson 11-04-2020 12:38 AM

There's a portion of Sanders' base that hate other Dems more than Trump. That's who gets the backlash. It's very telling. They cost people elections

When pilotman is the target of your edgy liberal rage than you're just confused. Look back at the shit you're saying to people when you sober up.

Mate, that is literally the most pathetic, non-substanstive response possible. Lot of words and bluster but nothing substantial. Are you sober? Who is the drunk one here?

Unfortunately tomorrow you'll still be unemployed because the candidate you supported couldn't beat the worst candidate in American history who gives no fucks about you and is destroying your industry and refusing to help you out. For the record I am on your side. I think you deserve help. That is the point here. But y'all keep voting against your own self interest. You'll get it eventually. Or you won't. We can only do so much, us socialist.

ISiddiqui 11-04-2020 12:42 AM

On the NYT board, 91% of Georgia now counted. It's gone down to Trump +3 and the Needle has gone up to 64% Biden. Fulton County is going to count mail ballots in the morning (they've gone home for the night).

Absolutely this. Living in a progressive bubble with no understanding that they aren't getting cheated at every turn, but that not even even most registered democrats have moved far enough left yet. I think Biden is a shit candidate and if it wasn't for Trump I'm not sure I'd vote for him, but trump exists, so that's the very easy and obvious reality to get behind Biden and be happy for the possibility of some sort of return to normalcy, even though normalcy is still terrible for millions of Americans who would benefit from Social Democracy. But we are here now, and we have to work with what we can to advocate. People like BillyMadison really hurt that in an active way. It's too bad.

sovereignstar v2 11-04-2020 12:51 AM

Nice gem I found from the 2008 election night:

I actually love Joe Biden. Like, I love the guy. Empathetic, true, honest. A good person. So in my mind, a good candidate. And maybe you're right! Maybe no Dem candidate could compete with the worst incumbent Presidential candidate in American history alongside a pandemic and a sinking economy and rampant racism and an FBI blowing warning signals that white supremacy (which said candidate endorses) is the biggest national security threat.

But it's the activist Dems that are trouble and are sinking things.

Here's a question: will you get behind new DNC leadership going forward? What does that look like for you? What are your limits? What do you think wins in 2024—if, and even IF we have the opportunity to vote again—and please don't say a moderate that can win republican voters...? Is that too much to ask?

stevew 11-04-2020 12:54 AM

well the senate looks to be a big fucking loss.

bhlloy 11-04-2020 12:55 AM

Senate is gone (MT just about a formality to be called in the next 30 mins)... but feels like maybe if all votes are counted then Biden is still just about the favorite for president? Definitely a weird night, and can't wait for the lawsuits to start tomorrow.
