Lake's opponent should have declared victory last night and claimed that if Lake found a bunch of votes to come from behind to win, it's because of voter fraud. She's the equivalent to Biden!

I love the BREAKING NEWS that came across my phone that is essentially - Alex Jones is forced to acknowledge reality.
|
Not only is Alex Jones forced to finally face some of the Sandy Hook parents, he seems to have had his dumbass of a lawyer sent his texts and emails to the defense by accident. Which are now being used to disprove some of his statements from yesterday. (Where there was also an utterly disgusting moment after the session closed, when one parent offered him a bottle of water and he basically tried to tell the parents how they were mislead and fed fake videos. No hole deep enough for that guy.
This clip is from yesterday, so even before this:
|
Holy crap, reading Twitter feed of courtroom proceedings right now where it was revealed that Jones's attorney accidentally sent opposing counsel 2 years of email and texts not previously disclosed in prior discovery. They say they told Jones's attorneys of the disclosure, got no response and now they are making Jones read some of the texts in court.

dola- I know this is a civil case, but is there any criminal liability for Jones in all of this? He deserves to be behind bars for what he has done to these families.
|
Is it wrong that I'm getting aroused?
|
Oh God. I could do this all day:
|
So much money to be made off the gullible idiots in this country. Jones, Tucker, Bannon, etc...don't believe a word of what they say but there is so much money they are willing to sell their souls and destroy the country in the process.
|
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
|
Alright lawyers:
A. How does this happen? Does he give his phone to his lawyers for "safe keeping?" They know there is a subpoena out for it. Can't they get disbarred for hiding evidence? B. How do they then mistakenly send it to opposing counsel? Why in the world would that be anywhere near where an accident like that could happen? C. Is it possible his attorney's hate him as much as everyone else, and they sent that over on purpose? |
Quote:
This surely should peak the interest of a prosecutor now that they KNOW they can prove a case based on that data and it's readily available and "no, no, my cat ate my phone, i swear" isn't available as an option. What's the deal with perjury in a civil trial ? Any chance this is the lawyers (of the victims) goal here ? Get him to perjure himself a bunch of times, with receipts and then get him jail time for that ? Rare but not impossible ? |
One doesn’t have to be a body language expert to see Jones is learning in real time just how fucked he really is. It’s like he is cycling through some of the shit he knows is on that phone.
|
I am 100% a transactional attorney, so there may very well be some sort of "chess instead of checkers" thing going on here but I don't know because I don't do trial work. My first thought was the attorney purposely falling on his sword in an attempt at a mistrial?
|
Not sure how accurate this is, but some on Twitter said they found child porn too.
|
Quote:
If this was true then the lawyers probably would've turned the phone data over to police asap. |
Quote:
Yeah I don't think it was accurate, but you know how things swirl on Twitter. |
If he had any dignity he should kill himself.
I hope he burns for what he did to those poor parents. I hope there is stuff on that phone that incriminates his whole organization. This is why the Dept of Defense "wiped" their phones and this is why Trump doesn't communicate the illegal shit save for untapped landlines. |

I dunno....pretty legit news site Child porn found in documents Alex Jones sent to lawyers of Sandy Hook families, court filing says |
dola- I guess a little different but still not great
|
That happened 3 years ago (it's an old story). It was turned over to the FBI but the Trump DOJ was not about to indict Jones for that.

1/6 committee subpoenaed for the messages
Lol Flicking comedy Won’t change the flock though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Option A: He is a terrible lawyer and unable to read a room Option B: He truly believes the same stuff as Jones and that's the main reason why he was hired I think we can discard "he's secretly sabotaging him because he finds him despicable and/or was wronged by him". |
The ex-wife wants in on the action: Alex Jones's Ex-Wife Will Seek Phone Data After Lawyer 'Messed up'

Seems like an incompetent defense team.
I can believe he will survive a massive judgement (e.g. bankruptcy, hiding the money etc.). He'll be hurt, downsized etc. but probably still living better than 99% of us. So I sure would like to see perjury charges come up. His ass belongs in jail. |
Quote:
I think the far bigger concern is the 1/6 committee. It was blatantly obvious he was rattled as fuck on the stand. He knows there is shit in there that will fuck over a lot of people. Wouldn't be surprised if he got Epsteined. |

Gonna take an army of guards to strangle that fat pig to death, hope it’s slow and painful. |

My wife (cynically, but probably correctly) pointed out that a perjury trial and conviction that ends up with a short jail sentence or probation (most likely outcome) is a net good for him b/c it lets him play up the MAGA Martyr card. |
So after being flabbergasted yesterday, today the defense attorney tried to raise a stink about the phone data and the whole thing is spectacular. Highlights include:
- He did make an attempt to take it back but failed to follow any procedural practice, much less properly. All he did was write a mail saying "please disregard" (and i read elsewhere he did even that too late but not sure where) - Judge has no shits left to give about the upteenth try to request a mistrial - the judge doubts that the plaintiffs lawyer could deny a request from the J6 committee even if he wanted to - plaintiffs lawyer referred to "an intimate message to Roger Stone" -there were medical records in the data from other parents related to another trial that the defense lawyer had no business even having
|
Quote:
From what I read the plaintiff's lawyer did let the defense lawyer know that he may had put privileged info into their shared dropbox. The defense lawyer had 10 days to invoke privilege but never did. Quote:
I'm betting that one of these messages contained the phrase "Deal, but I get to wear the orange wig tonight". |
It feels like a good lesson here is you should hire good attorneys instead of a guy from Twitter who likes your show.
|
Quote:
Yeah, that's a better explanation of this, cheers. |
And now there is a court order in that case in Connecticut for the attorney here and there to come to court to answer why they had these illegal documents.
|
4.1 Million compensatory. That could turn into as much as $40 million punitive.
|
Primus just dropped a 3-track EP called Conspiranoid and the title track is, well, relevant to this thread. Musically, it's like Primus and Pink Floyd had a baby and lyrically, it takes aim at the brainwashing that's gone on the past few years and pokes fun at anti-vaxx, Bill Gates, Jewish laser, etc., conspiracies.
One example stanza: Can lead a horse to water But you cannot make him drink You can guide a fool towards logic But you'll rarely make him think Be wary of conspiranoia As purveyors abound For an open mind too open Spills it's contents on the ground Anyway, carry on. |
They just found Jimmy Hoffa and Amelia Earhart in the texts...
|
$45 Mill + punitive damages fucck yeah
|
Quote:
that is the punitive damages. Not enough |
Remember back in the 90s when "Trial Lawyers" were the big baddies?
Yeah, well Texas used that public outrage to place draconian caps on punitive damages. Jones will get a slap on the financial wrist. But, hey, it sure was funny to all forward that email about the McDonald's coffee lady, right? |
Yeah, he will pay a fraction of that. Hopefully there is no cap in Connecticut where some other family members are suing.

Abbott Discusses Details of Lawsuit Settlement | The Texas Tribune Greg Abbott - Wikipedia Funny story, that. Greg Abbott has made more than $10M from a settlement where he sued a homeowner and tree trimming company when a tree fell on him and paralyzed him And then, of course, he voted to cap malpractice suits when he was attorney general of Texas, so kicked the ladder from behind him after he got rich. This thing with DeSantis replacing the elected democratic state attorney with his own pick is downright scary and his blueprint if he is elected POTUS. That can't be legal?
|
Quote:
This isn't going to stick. It's the DeSantis playbook. Do something you know won't stick but make sure it's heavily publicized so your supporters know you're as fascist as they want you to be. What's likely going to happen is it's ruled that what the attorney said is protected political speech since he has had zero cases brought before him concerning what he said he will not prosecute. So he hasn't "neglected to do his duty" in any way. |
You know the scary thing, DeSantis will be 45 in 2024, lets say Trump's camp reaches out with a deal to run as VP under Trump, then Trump endorses him in 2028.
That is a playbook that could work if the Democrats can't come up with a candidate that energizes the voting base. |
Quote:
2020 proved the Dems don't need a candidate to energize the voting base if Trump is on the other ticket. |
