AL vs. NL

As i look at the standings in both leagues and follow the division and wild card races I cant help but think that the American League is more dominant then the National Leagues.

Take the NL wild card race for example. Their are at least 5 teams that can win the wild card race, but in the AL wild card race the team that finishes second in the AL East is most likely to win it unless on of those teams have a complete breakdown.
