Didn't go anywhere. He unfortunately suffered a foot stress fracture in week 4 and is toast for this season of my dynasty. And yeah Marshawn went off. For whatever reason I had huge holes in this game.
NYsportsfanandgamer on December 20, 2014 at 01:36 AM.
I noticed the cowboys didn't have Demarco Murray, where did he end up in free agency? And Marshawn Lynch was amazing. Good luck with this dynasty!

What sliders are you using?
Thursday, September 4, 2014 – Dynasty Comments
To be honest, I haven't really timed it out, but my guess is probably an hour to hour 15. It also depends on how many times the clock runs. If there are a lot of incomplete passes, then it takes longer than if there are a bunch of runs. Does that make sense?

Good luck man! How long does it typically take you play a game with that quarter length?

Ok so going into the season, I'm finally set up. I have my rotation listed in order, the members of the bullpen, and the position players. Obviously the lineups might end up being different each game due to guys needing rest and who the opposing pitcher is, so I just left all the position players bunched together like that. Then I have the top prospects listed after that. Here is what my team will look like (numbers next to players are their current overall ratings):

SP Rotation
Cliff Lee 91
Cole Hamels 89
AJ Burnett 81
Jeff Niemann 77
Kyle Kendrick 74

Bullpen
Roberto Hernandez 71
Justin De Fratus 70
Brad Lincoln 70
Mike Adams 76
Antonio Bastardo 78
Jake Diekman 76
Jonathan Papelbon 87

Position Players
Carlos Ruiz 84
Wil Nieves 66
Ryan Howard 79
Kendrys Morales 78
Darin Ruf 73
Chase Utley 83
Freddy Galvis 75
Jimmy Rollins 85
Ronny Cedeno 68
Cesar Izturis 71
Domonic Brown 81
Ben Revere 79
Marlon Byrd 78

Prospect Info
AAA
SP Jesse Biddle 73
3B Maikel Franco 67
SS JP Crawford 66
SP Michael Feliz 65
SP Ethan Martin 64
CP Julio Ruiz 56
AA
SP Severino Gonzalez 61

Well, it's finally time to start with the games. I will post an update after the week of games are played.
lce5007 on May 10, 2014 at 09:45 PM.
First update will just be explaining my moves during Spring Training. I have no intention of playing these, but the players still progress/regress during this, so I'm going to sim the games instead of just ending it right off the bat.

For starters, I brought in four new scouts. The default group that I had was absolute trash. I got one guy who was in 90's for discovery, who I will have finding a different type of player every single day. Then I decided to pick up one guy who was 90's when it came to scouting pitcher ratings, one who was 90's for position player ratings, and another who was 90's for both. Seems to me like a well rounded group.

After my scouting moves, that left me with a remaining budget of 8.92 million to work with. I figured that I could ditch some guys that I have no intention of ever using, then try and snag as many free agents as I could, but still keep enough budget room to sign draft picks once June hits. That being said, here are the moves that I went with:

-Released RP Jay Johnson.
24 years old, 45 overall, D potential.
This guy was just a waste of roster space.

-Signed CP Julio Ruiz.
19 years old, 56 overall, B potential.
Contract: 3 years + club option for 83.3k/yr.
Why not. I only have two closers in my organization right now, plus he's young and has decent potential.

-Released C Deivi Grullon.
18 years old, 44 overall, C potential.
This guy was released solely because I don't see a need for nine catchers in my organization, and he was the lowest rated.

-Signed SP Jeff Neimann.
31 years old, 77 overall, C potential.
Contract: 1 year 1.18 million.
He was the highest rated SP in the free agents right now, and his rating would currently slot him in as #4 in my rotation, so might as well.

-Released C Andrew Knapp.
22 years old, 52 overall, C potential.
I now have eight catchers, and still don't see any reason to.

-Signed 1B Kendrys Morales.
30 years old, 78 overall, C potential.
Contract: 2 years 2.1m/yr.
He can play 1B and RF, so I figured he'd be a good signing just to use as a pinch hitter and to sub in for guys who need a break.

-Released SP Mitch Gueller.
20 years old, 44 overall, C potential.
Lowest rated guy on my team, and I had to make room for more pressing needs.

-Released 2B Edgar Duran.
22 years old, 47 overall, D potential.
Same reason as previous guy.

-Signed SS Cesar Izturis.
34 years old, 71 overall, C potential.
Contract: 2 years 740k/yr.
He plays 2B and 3B as well. I am in desperate need of a third baseman at the moment. There were better options that could play 3B, but he was considerably cheaper.

-Signed SP Michael Feliz.
20 years old, 65 overall, B potential.
Contract: 3 years + club option, 86.6k/yr.
Dude seems like a pretty solid prospect, so I figured I'd snatch him up too.

After all of that, I'm still left with 4.8 million to spend. I figured that I would hold off for now in case I would need to sign for an injury or anything. I also have to save room for anyone that I would want to sign after the draft. I will now sim the entire Spring Training, and the next update will have my MLB roster notes, along with info on what's going on with my top ten prospects (I consider prospects as guys who are not currently on my 25 man roster, are under the age of 26, and have highest potential).

Yea I control all 30 teams so I wanted to make it fair under the circumstances that I presented. Plus I'm really really not a fan of Ayo as the leader of my offensive attack and Deandre don't fit my current building blocks either.
That was definitely a bounty to pay for Blackshear when he was only one pick ahead of you. But you gotta do what you gotta do. At least now you have that star to build around.

Ok as far as my philosophies go this what i am going for.
QB obviously Mobile
HB balanced but I will be looking for one speed and one power.
FB balanced because he can get some touches and needs to block as well.
WRs Strong/Blocking, but already and hands helps to with the passing we might do.
TEs balanced because they need to block and catch.
OL run block specialists
DT one gap
DEs balanced because they need to stop the run and pass rush depending on the play call.
LBs balanced as well but i will be looking for fast edge rushers.
CBs man coverage
FS centerfielder
SS balanced
K/P balanced

Don't get me wrong Nerlens is the perfect center for this offensive and defensive attack...he just always getting hurt...I should've sent him to conditioning those 1st 2 seasons...
Dreece on February 11, 2014 at 08:16 PM.
Yea man I signed him out of need. I missed out on a couple guys in the draft so McGee was in the mold of what I needed...until the BS of course
darkwolf80 on February 11, 2014 at 07:51 PM.
That is a nice lineup. MCW is growing into beast, a Magic Clone. With that Player pickup Turner definitely expendable now. Too bad Nerlens isn't working out. I could see him just being a beast defensively down low. Good luck on the coming year.

Nice Pickup on Player! And I have always hated Mcgee. He is so athletic but such a dunderhead! Too bad he brought down Gordon with him.

If i remember correctly, i saw a post in the draftclass thread saying v2?
BlindSideNZ on February 9, 2014 at 09:15 PM.
I know right! My jaw dropped when I saw him. It wasn't even a hesitation. Him and Holden on a rotation is gonna be lethal! We got real unlucky with all those injuries and I just simmed it out in the end. I got too annoyed to play but I feel great about this season. My biggest problem is how much will potentially have to be give up to get a look at a Blackshear draft pick whenever he turns up. It has to be done!
CWSapp757 on February 9, 2014 at 09:01 PM.
Oh you KNOW I'm liking that Tristan Cole pick at the 18 spot and Chip isn't a bad pick up in the second round at all. Which version you using man?
CWSapp757 on February 9, 2014 at 08:58 PM.
Ughhh, broken back!? That sucks man. The playoffs may have ended in a disappointment but I'm actually shocked to see Ment Powers still there for you in the lottery. I think a case could be made for him as a top three pick no matter which version you used so that's a good look man.
darkwolf80 on February 9, 2014 at 05:29 PM.
Yeah I'm starting to run the pick and roll much more often with Irving and Holden. If Holden gets a free lane he likes to pick and slam!!
BlindSideNZ on February 9, 2014 at 03:24 AM.
Oh man I didn't even think Powers would be there. But Amir was set to make $7mil and I just wasn't getting the 7million Dillard's worth of production. I'm hoping by bringing Powers in that I can keep that 4 spot young and athletic for a new game plan called pick and slam haha!

But yes the thunder are without their tandem. They've got love now and that's about it. So I seriously have no idea what to expect from the league this season
darkwolf80 on February 9, 2014 at 03:08 AM.
Ouch Man. I feel your pain. Like your coach said just a setback you will be there again next year. Nice move on the draft day trade and got you another good PF in Powers. That FA list was some craziness. Lots of moving for stars. So does this mean that the Thunder now have neither Durant or Westbrook? Wow.
darkwolf80 on February 9, 2014 at 03:04 AM.
Grats on the first season and a healthy one at that. I like seeing I influenced someone. lol Good luck in the playoffs. Although I'm sure it has already happened since I'm about to read your newest post.

BlindSideNZ on February 8, 2014 at 05:20 AM.
Haha as far as I remember the only Heat player who left was Mario Chalmers who I'm pretty sure is now with the Jazz. So unless Burke is injured I don't know where he's gone. Yeah I'd never seen Durant leave either. The Pacers have managed to add Al Jefferson to the starting that they already have in today's NBA. Things are getting pretty tough at the top. Everybody wants Holden and I don't think he's even at his peak yet!
darkwolf80 on February 8, 2014 at 03:47 AM.
Curious did the Heat also keep Wade along with Lebron? If so that is a stacked team with K. Bishop and Monta Ellis on there as well. That East is finally looking to be just as tough as the West. And dang look at the Jazz! That might also be the first time I have seen Durant on anyone other than the Thunder. At least the Thunder spent the money on Love. lol
BlindSideNZ on February 8, 2014 at 12:41 AM.
That was the plan. I knew going in i needed Tinsley. I have used him before which is a little bit cheap on my part but thats the only reason i held onto Lowry who is now in the running for 6thMoTY. Ridiculous!
BlindSideNZ on February 8, 2014 at 12:39 AM.
Man that pre season had me absolutely stunned. Locking down those 3 was key. DeRozan is absolutely everywhere all the time! And i can see Holden turning into a 10 & 10 guy. Maybe 3 - 5 assists per game. He's not a scoring threat for this squad but he is a guy that can't be forgotten about. He's scored 30 points a couple times since the season began.
darkwolf80 on February 8, 2014 at 12:24 AM.
You are definitely loaded to make a long run at repeated championships.
