Key Additions: Blake Griffin, Ryan Gomes, Randy
Foye, Al-Farouq Aminu, Eric Bledsoe, Head Coach Vinnie Del Negro
The Los Angeles Clippers won 29 games last season, a 10-game
improvement over 2008-9. Thus far the "Baron Davis Era" has led to a
disappointing 48-116 record. To be fair, the Clippers have been beset with
injuries dating back to their 2006 playoff run. Losing top pick, forward
Blake Griffin for all of the 2009-10 season was too much to overcome.
Blake will make an immediate impact in his second chance at a rookie
season. The Clippers will have coaching stability with incoming Vinny Del
Negro, who took the Chicago Bulls to two straight postseason berths. To
make the cut in the Western Conference, LA may need to win more than
the 48 they won the past two seasons combined. That's a tall order for
Griffin, Davis, Del Negro and the rest of the Clippers.
