Not gonna lie, scared the **** outta me.
What did I do? I played it cool on the first tremor. Meh, must be a chopper or low flying plane, big *** truck, whatever.
Second tremor about 10 seconds later, literally swayed the entire building, I was looking out the window and saw it bow in and out and said to myself, OH ****. This is an earthquake or Megatron.
Decided the best thing to do, get under my desk and like He-man, pushed my back against the bottom of the desk, to keep the entire BUILDING from crushing me. Yes, I actually thought I was going to support the ENTIRE roof caving in on me, by pushing up on my desk with my back. Genius!

Thank you.
I can laugh about it now, but the news stories of me under a desk, brushing the dust off my shoulders would have made me tear up a little.

Its just good to read everyone is ok. I also find it kinda crazy that Colorado had a slight earthquake in the southeast corner of the state. I am from there, and never in a million years did i ever think THAT would happen.

Yeah, I was freaking out as everything in the house shook. At first I thought it was a plane or helicopter flying over very closely to the ground. Then I checked facebook to see thousands of statuses confirming the earthquake.

I grew up a lot in VA. my mom told me today they were affected. I didn't even know it happened ( guess I should watch news and quit checking on 2k news). It was crazy to hear of something like that happening on the east coast. weird. what's next water spout in AZ?

Yeah I live in North Jersey and my table started moving and my water had the "jurassic park" ripples going through it. My chair started jumping I didn know what was happening. I laughed it off earlier but all day i've been pondering "will this happen again" and "what if it does and its worse"

Steve I gotta tell ya when the first tremor hit, I was in staff meeting and thought that a plane had crashed into our building with the close proximity of BWI airport to our building. When the second one hit, the building literally shook as if it was in blender. I'm so grateful that no one was hurt but it's an experience that I hope never to repeat

Yeah I've been out to California a few times and hoped to feel a minor one out there but never have. Ofcourse, I don't own anything out there either.

I live in NC and work in VA and we definitely felt it. Not too common around these parts. Bad thing is, I work in a warehouse where furniture is weighing 500 lbs. is stacked 4 high. On my breaks, I walk laps to try to get back in shape!!! Guess what time my break was and when the quake hit!!!

PPl down here are funny. The ground shook, mildly, for about 30 seconds. Now, I know it's a new experience for many of us, but ppl around here were acting like it was a 7.O on the Richter Scale. I know north of the epicenter got it a lot worse than we did south of it. But I thought it was a little ridiculous. This should sum it up perfectly...

 Working...
 Working...
I know our quake experiences pale in comparison to anything major but for people who have never experienced one before, it can be quite jarring. I honestly wasn't 100% sure it was a quake (gas explosion, plane crash, Al Qaeda came to mind) until I jumped on Twitter and saw Hunter Pence mention that the whole Phillies locker room was just shaken by an earthquake, haha.
Good read and thanks for posting!
