Anxiously awaiting tomorrow's NCAA 10 dynasty news

First of all... I know it's a little too early in the game to expect any true blockbuster news. But I can't help looking forward to tomorrow, even if it's with a bit of trepidation.

Online dynasty has infused new life into the NCAA football game for me and my league mates. We're still going like crazy and we recently had our first game broadcast live. Yeah it was an ugly game between UCLA and Oregon, but it was watched by at least 15 guys in the various Tradition and Old Fellas Football League dynasties.

The first thing I'm hoping to see is that any obvious bugs are fixed. For instance, the "players leaving" glitch and the commissioner progression glitch are the two biggest issues for us. If you took the game and made it even slightly better, and and fixed those two issues, we'd play for another year. Guaranteed, with no complaints.

So what new features am I hoping for? I honestly don't know. I'm still sort of blown away, and in shock that they got online dynasty up and working. That's not taking a shot at EA, I just never thought I'd see the day. Call me old fashioned.

Spring games would be pretty fun, but if they were still in the "offseason" portion of the dynasty, I think most leagues would just skip it. It's pretty hard to get 12 guys online at one time. And that brings me to another point. Do I want the option for more players in the dynasty itself? I'd kinda like to see it increased EVER so slightly. Or hell, increase it as much as you want, as long as it works. But anything more than 12-15 players in a dynasty would be too many in my humble opinion.

I would love to see the dynasty interface itself include more team-specific things. Even if it's still menu based, It would be great for each team to have far more pictures. Photos of buildings on campus, photos of the stadium, and do a bit more with those photos. Maybe assigning them to different "pages" of the dynasty as you go through. I'd really like to see them do an office, locker room, etc. for the various teams. Maybe that's a pipe dream?

Well, only a few hours until we find out a little bit about what's in store.

I noticed you guys talking about progression in The Tradition forums - so the commish doesn't have his players progress? And how long did it take for people to realize this (i stopped playing with you guys in like December and I don't think this was known then).

Yeah man it took quite awhile. It was probably very shortly after you left that we noticed it, and Ryno was at the helm for another 2-3 seasons before something got screwed up with his modem, and now I'm the one in progression purgatory (as we now call it).

well look at the bright side - it isn't like any of the superstar players are going to stick with a program 4 years anyway ;-)
