Remember that 06 pick the suns recieved for trading the pick that turned into Luol Deng? Well that pick turned into Rajon Rondo. Rondo on an already pacific division dominator would be a force to be reckoned with. He would have developed a Harden type role off of the bench and developed into an even better player behind the legendary Steve Nash, who was in the middle of his prime. Rondo's production would have been limited at first, but it'd be hard to say the Suns wouldn't have a ring by now and the Suns today would be much better off and ready for the Post-Nash era.

I don't know if you've ever read Bill Simmons' The Book of Basketball, but he has some great what if scenarios. It covers the Suns being cheap as well, which is basically why the got rid of the 7th pick and so forth.

It goes over it well. Talented squads, but never did have the defense necessary to get to the next step.

They are just a transfer team condition shooters that move on to championship squads,sad really because over the years I really felt they had the lineup to go all the way then the trade them off to other teams that end up winning the title.The Atlanta hawks are another team that does this.
