Kansas City- The Royals are set to kickoff the 2010 season in Kansas City when they take on the Detroit Tigers. Kansas City is set to begin the new era under new owner/gm Mr. Vernon. Mr. Vernon is set to embark on a new era in Kansas City baseball after purchasing the team from the Glass family. In Mr. Vernon's first piece of business he relieved Dayton Moore of gm duties. Vernon stated, "this is my team and I want to be the one that makes the call, I will be responsible for this team from top to bottom, we will win." It should be interesting to see how things unfold in KC under the new regime. Stay tuned Royals fans.
