Browns-Bills Recap
Posted on November 18, 2008 at 12:44 PM.

Jerome Harrison, AKA the second coming.

Let's get this straight: the Cleveland Browns won. I'm not denying that.

Yes they won. That is a fact. Technically.

Here are other so-called "facts":
1) Brady Quinn is 1-1 as a starter in the NFL.
2) Romeo Crennel can potentially bounce back from an 0-4 start to end up at .500
3) the Browns defense is at +100 in takeaways.
4) Jamal Lewis averaged over 3 yds/carry
5) Jerome Harrison rushed for 80+ yards, scored a TD, and added 20 yards receiving.
6) Braylon Edwards caught 8 passes for 100 yards
Here's where I bring myself back down to reality:
1) Although he performed really well against the Broncos (potentially the worst defense in the NFL), he came back to earth against the Bills last night. He still was the best-looking QB playing in the NFL last night, and I guess that's saying something. "He was wearing shoes" is saying something too.
2) Worst coach ever.
Time Management? None.
Blank Affect? √
Homeless man sock hat? √
Play calling? Give me a break.
Halftime is for big sandwiches and donuts? √√√√√√√√√
3) Interceptions is much easier than tackling. And falling on balls that little dudes on the other teams drop is cool too. Can't we just do that? You know, instead of tackling? It's much more fun.
4) Jamal Lewis: 18 rushes, 65 yds, 3.6 avg, 0 TDs. Compare that to:
5) Jerome Harrison: 3 rushes, 80 yds, 26.7 avg, 1 TD.
HE DIDN'T PLAY A COMPLETE SERIES UNTIL JASON WRIGHT (He's still on the team? Really?) GOT HURT. IN THE FOURTH QUARTER. WHAT's THE PROBLEM? DIDN'T WANT TO THROW OFF THE REST OF THE TEAM BY ADDING SPEED TO IT?
6) He dropped 6 passes for -80 yds.
Let that all sink in a little bit. Later on today I'll follow this up with my iChat correspondence with a friend during last night's game.

Think of it as real-time blogging, but not real time or blogging.

Well, maybe it is blogging. Technically.

As in, technically Romeo Crennel is the Browns' coach.

Good read.

A lot of NFL Coaches need lessons in clock management. The Bills playing calling at the end of the game to get closer for the field goal was ridiculous.
