I've started a Career mode as the manager of Plymouth Argyle. In the 4 seasons since I've started my team has been promoted twice to the Championship League. This blog will be used to keep you apprised of what's going on in Season 5 and beyond.
The Toronto Blue Jays (1-1) scored early and often in an 8-4 blowout over the Yankees today. Encarnacion started the scoring in the top of the 1st with a 3-run homer to left off starter C.C. Sabathia. This wouldn't be the only inning Sabathia struggled in the game.

As solely a sports gamer, and a Sony fan (since PS) I've been patiently waiting on upgrading to PS4. To me there hasn't been a compelling reason to upgrade yet. I couldn't bring myself to get it before the holiday season, with only a Madden title that I would enjoy. I was further disappointed by the lack of a Tiger Woods game this spring. Ryan Tannehill had a rough game with 4 interceptions, including a pick 6 midway through the 4th quarter that gave Cleveland the lead for good. As I expected with the slider tweaks I made yds per carry dipped (although it's too early to tell if I've gone too far) and completion% appears to have come down to a more reasonable level. After 8 games, I'm making my first set of adjustments. Most of them are to control the passing game some as completion percentages have been too high as well as interceptions. There have not been enough penalties called. Yards per carry have also been a bit of an issue. Here's how the CPU vs CPU sliders have worked so far.

I've changed to charter04's sliders as a starting point to see what happens. My first impression is that the CPU is having far too easy running the ball (The Bucs & Jets combined for more nearly 400 yards on the ground). I've going to give this slider set another game or 2 before I change anything to look for emerging patterns. I have found the passing game to be somewhat more realistic, but a couple of big plays have me concerned.
Georgia St. kicked field goals as time expired at the end of the half and the game to hold off a charging FCS East team 27-24.
Georgia St. went up early on a 3 yard strike from QB Ben McLane to TE Drew Pearson. The 10 play, 85 yard drive was nearly perfect, as they faced only 1 third down on the drive.
