Nebraska entered Happy Valley looking for an identity. They left Happy Valley still seeking it. Steven Bench threw for 5 scores, Matt Zanellato caught 4 of them, and Akeel Lynch ran wild over the "blackshirts" defense en route to an easy 42-13 victory.

Penn State moves to 7-0 and hosts Northwestern next week in Beaver Stadium in a matchup of top 10 teams.

2* Isaac Doty, a kicker out of Newark, NJ committed to Penn State following his visit for the clash with the Illini.

Other Commitments:

3* Tim Strong, an offensive guard out of Brentwood, PA
3* Matt Corbett, a quarterback from Mount Lebanon, PA
3* Mario Holloway, a defensive end from Erie, PA.

That brings the class total to 5.

Illinois boasted a top 10 ranking nationally. Penn State was still finding itself. Consider them found as they blister the Illini through the air, and with a stout defense, 38-17.

The defense tallied 8 QB sacks, and held the Illini to 16 yards rushing. Steven Bench was phenomenal completing 25/30 passes for 5 touchdowns.

Penn State should move into the top 10 in the rankings and host Nebraska next week at Beaver Stadium.

#25 Penn State marched into the old horseshoe undermanned, and left the 'shoe with a hard-fought 26-21 victory over #24 Ohio State.

Penn State's defense led the way with 5 sacks and 4 created turnovers. Akeel Lynch found just enough running room to run for nearly 120 yards on 18 carries. When Ronald Jackson intercepted a Cordale Jones pass with 38 seconds left, the celebration began.

Penn State heads home to face #19 Illinois next week.
