The Madden team finally got the game right. Presentation is a huge component of making a great game that EA has never really got right until now.

It also appeared that there was a wide open lane to run through inside of the tackle. He could have cut back in instead of trying to take it outside. Football is all about making adjustments. It seems like that guy wants certain plays to work everytime. We will see. I'm downloading it right now.

So finally was able to play the gamestop demo on ps3, I won as the steeler 14-10. And let me just say it was truly amazing. The graphics and visuals for the game were beautiful to see. They did a great job with the QB signature deliveries. Big Ben was spot on along with Kurt Warner. The Pro-Tak looked great as well it really adds authenticity to the game. And for regular tackles i also like how player who gets hit has a more accurate display of getting tackled. Also the playing field it self was great, they did a great job making it look realistic,
The only bad thing is I have to wait till the 14th to play wit Jay Cutler, and my bears. I looking forward to seeing how well they did on Cutlers delivery as Pastapadre said it was the most accurate in the game.
But man am i proud to be a Madden Fan again, this is def one of the best sports games in while, joining the likes of mlb 09 the show. I thought i was never going to be able to see a game like 2k5 again, but thanks to Ian and the great development team, I have

Haha, woooow this demo is hard as crappola. Both O-lines can't block for shart, and the Steelers O is impossible to stop.

I haven't bought madden since last gen, and I wish they gave paying XBL members more than a 1 minute quarter demo, but that's the way Gamestop exclusives go these days.
It played good and it looked great. I'm not going to nitpick a ridiculously short demo, as the positives kind of stick out more for me. Just from this though, Madden has moved from "never buy again", to "strong rent" on my gaming scale.

From you guys who have played the demo...the 2 things that kept me from enjoying 09.
Not being able to run outside...in general the pass speed vs the speed of the players was off so passing game seemed poor...many routes you wouldn't even bother trying because they were impossible to complete...
How are these things looking in the demo?

It is out now if you pre-ordered from Gamestop. The other one is out next thursday.

i'm at 74 percent and i just started downloading it about 15 minutes ago.
How the hell is someone suppose have an impression about a game demo with 1 minute quarters. I ran 3 plays and the half was over.
when will the 1 min quarters demo be out for ps3? I see some people have gotton the 1 min demo already. Will it be out for ps3 today?

Awesome job guys. So long as there aren't lurking issues within the gameplay that crop up down the line, I think this is a fine effort and promises an outstanding future for the franchise.

As a long time Madden *****, it hurts me to say this is looking pretty good. I played about 3 games and there are only a few things that bugged me. The turn on a dime animations are still present; there should be more animations put in to transition the player from moving towards the sideline to turning upfield. Some random dude broke out of a 4-man tackle. Some of the tackles looked like the tacklers were trying to pull and/or hug the ballcarrier down vs. wrapping up and/or knocking him down. The gameplay is a tad bit slow but much better than the turbo speed of years past. One thing that probably can't be fixed is the playcalling screen. On Xbox, to choose a play you select X, A, or Y. I think it should be X, A, and B which is more natural to the button layout. I found my self hitting B and going back to the main screen. Minor adjustment for me I guess. The game overall feels better. I wasn't turned off immediately like last years demo. The cutscenes are pretty good and I didn't get bored with what I saw. I look forward to hearing the commentary in the full version. I think this is still a rental at this point. However, I feel if the effort is put into next years offering that was put into this one, we may have a winner. Still lots of things to be worked on but I am pleasantly surprised by the state of the game.
