He is all over the place here, but the real problem is not what he's talking about. He says the problem is Offensive Tackles that pull. The Tackle does not pull in the play, the Guard pulls. The Tackle ends up blocking NOBODY. It's not a linebacker that gets in free it's a DE. The problem he is talking about for this play anyways are as follows:

1) the Tackle did not block the DE when he should have
2) Harrison does not step up and attack the run even though it is headed right at him (This is a football video game problem not a Madden problem - the run defense is not separated from the coverage called. You can tell the defense is in zone that's why Harrison scrapes outside even though the run is coming toward him. He should have attacked it, but whatcha gonna do). If Harrison steps up that Guard takes him on a lot earlier. This would be a pivotal point in the play right here. If Harrison takes him on correctly with his inside shoulder and maintains outside leverage the back would be dumb to keep going outside. The play would have to be cutback inside under the block of the Guard. So the Guard would need to kick Harrison out. If he loses the FB and the HB have to cutback inside. The FB would lead up inside the Guards block and take on ILB Timmons and ILB Farrior should be flowing over the top to meet the HB if he cuts it up inside. If he goes outside and Harrison wins the play is over in the backfield like what happens here. So the end result isn't necessarily wrong. If the HB cuts it back inside the block of the Guard then he might pick up 3 yards.

Played a game a while ago(All-Pro) where I hurt Warner early in the 3rd.....and Leinart came in

I let loose the hounds of Blitzburgh

and it a was a beautiful sight

...It actually felt like I got in his head a made him uncomfortable.

Sacked him 4 times and knocked him down even more. Think he was something like 3/10 for 29 yards. Bunch of Over/UnderThrown Passes.

The last few he was chucking off his back foot really fast, and again Incomplete with no ints

(Like he didn't even want to attempt at dealing with the pressure I was bringing)

I feel you on the gameplay and animations similarity, a bit. I was thinking about that last night, wondering if I may have spoiled the big hoorah of Madden 10 by buying NCAA 10 and playing it so much as I have...but Madden is my first love. This is the first NCAA I've bought since NCAA 2005 and I'm just remembering that apart of the reason why I stopped buying those was because of those reasons I've already said.

I WILL be getting Madden, just like I do every year, but this one is the ONE to have of all Maddens, it seems. Still waiting for my demo to finish downloading on my PS3. 90% there! Lol.

I played the 5 min demo a couple of times this morning, and have only one thing to say about madden 10 @ this point. "Golden". Now that doesn't mean that it's a perfect game, cause that doesn't exist, but if the demo is any indication of the finished product, I can see where madden 10 will be in heavy rotation for many months to come. Do I think it will make anyone forget nfl 2k5, no. But it may quiet those who love 2k to a fault. I would love to see more of the presentation, hear the commentary, and see what tweaks were made from this build to the release version. It seems as if we spoke, the devs listened, and while its only a demo, they delivered.

Again, its only a demo, so we should all reserve judgement until the final product is spinning in our systems..

P.s. To all those who didn't reserve the game to get the 5min demo, why didn't you? Esp since GS does online preorders for instore pick-up, and you don't have to put any money down for those. Either way, your $5 goes toward the game, so what's the problem? You can get it back...

Oddly enough, MLB2k8 had this with it's "real-time" broadcast style. They looked like cutscenes but were actually just great presentation angles and cameras of what was happening on-field. The game had other problems, but on this issue it did have "perfect cutscenes" so to speak, because they weren't actually cutscenes
