Minor league pitchers not progressing

Hey fellow mlbers.
I wamted this community's thoughts on an issue I am having with my minor league pitchers.

First I am using the White Sox and they do not have alot of great pitchers, but the ones they do have and the ones I draft with A and B potential always end up with eras north of 5.5. Is there a reason for this? Is it because of my training assignments are set to auto. For the record, I dont have a problem with the hitters.

Any help would be great. It is just frustrating.

Thanks

I think it depends on his other attributes. Just because he is an A or B potential, doesn't mean he's a really good pitcher at the time. He might just be struggling. In my Mariners 'chise Taijuan Walker has a 4.89 ERA after his first year, and this year he has a 2.74 ERA in the beginning of this season. I think it just might be a down year, specially if they are young.
