Terrifying INT's?

Is anyone else terrified by all the INT''s that took place in the actual gameplay videos?

I almost stopped playing NCAA when I could not complete a pass in the 12-25yd range, I could only complete passes underneath or way over the top, regardless of how good their DB's were or how good my QB/WR's were.

But my DB's always seemed lost in coverage.

Just a fear of mine, anybody else?

Re: Terrifying INT's?

I was wondering if anyone else noticed that. I fear the return of the INT glitch, but I have to believe they just purposely showcased that for us because of how often folks hated on coverages and such in Madden.

Fingers crossed.

Terrifying INT's?

I am entering this game with the expectation that, if you don’t have a quarterback with an NFL caliber arm, you are going to be limited with respect to the route combinations you can throw. This is probably going to be especially true when targeting receivers outside the far hash marks. I envision that a successful passing game in EASCFB is going to be a lot more horizontal than what one sees in Madden.

If you want to throw the ball often with a non-NFL-caliber passer, I might recommend loading up your playbook with Air Raid stuff like Mesh, Shallow Cross, Y-Cross, Spacing, and occasionally Four Verticals. The idea here is to throw shorter passes targeting receivers closer to the QB as the crow flies so defenders can't catch up to a deeper ball thrown with limited velocity.

I also envision RPOs, bubble screens, tunnel screens, and such being far more viable and far more important, since OLs in college are permitted to move up to three yards downfield before being flagged for ineligible receiver (in the NFL the limitation is one yard).

Not at all, most of those were terrible reads.

This. None of the INTs looked bad at all. They were bad decisions by the user, but not bad animations by the defense.

No. Only my hands-on experience with CFB 25 will give me an opinion on game play.

Re: Terrifying INT's?

If bad QB throw lots of INT that is how it should be, we want the game to play with serious realism

Not really concerned atm. Can't glean anything meaningful about that from the limited gameplay we've seen. If it's a huge issue they will patch it. If worst comes to worst and we have to wait for a patch or they don't, then hopefully the INT slider works. But again I want to see more extended gameplay or play it myself before judging that.
