A true sim experience would be incredibly frustrating for almost everyone, which is why all games are a stylized version of real life to some extent or another. So whether or not a close to the field camera is sim or not isn't really the issue, it's whether the design decision makes for a more entertaining football game, for most people anyways. In any event, if you demand so much realism from your game that only a close to the action camera will do, I would think that the game falls so short of the mark in other areas of football simulation that it's a moot point anyways. If that's not the case and you still can enjoy a football game that isn't a perfect simulation, then you should be able to understand how people can think that the game would be better with a different camera angle.
I agree. None of the big three coming out this year can be classified as simulation, but I believe this game expresses simulation better than the other two just for the fact that its physics driven. Will there be glitches with it? Of course. But overall it will play a lot better.

Anyways, running and passing have really slowed down for me. I can actually get a steady run game going and on average I can get to my third read and make a pass before getting sacked. I love this game.

The two things I love doing in this game.

1) Jumping over the pile in the endzone because you never know whats going to happen to your player.

2) Playing defense and having the CPU get hit and right before he crosses the first down line you hit him from the side, changing his bodies trajectory and stopping him inches from it.

very ballsy of him going for the other point bonus across the field. That score will be hard to beat without idiots cheating (like they always do). If someone threw some aggressive moves in there they might have a chance.

Hey guys I'm a ps3 owner so I'm still waiting.Arrrrrrrg How has backbreaker affected going back playing the older/different version football games. I know last year Madden's gameplay completely ruined my experience for Ncaa because of the better gameplay. From you guys' experience, will backbreaker's gameplay ruin trying to switch back to another football game?

The camera makes everything seem so hectic. The physics are fantastic but the camera makes the game unplayable for me

Some people can't be reasoned with bro.

The camera is definitely limiting and not for everyone (preference).
