Ok guys we are seriously arguing over spending $60? Come on if you are that tight for cash then cut back on things you normally spend money on (coffee in the morning, fast food, beer, cigarettes, etc). You have 4 months to save $60 and if you can't do that then something is wrong. Just start setting aside $0.50 a day and then when Madden comes out you will have $60.

Also if you are worried you are not going to like it then like anygivensunday said play the demo, watch videos of it on youtube, read reviews and talk to people on hear and gamefaqs about it or rent it. If all else fails wait and see if you can find it used at a gamestop. That way you will have 7 days to determine if you like it. If you don't like it then take it back and get your money back (did that with killzone 2).

I personally am going to buy it (unless something horrible goes wrong) because I liked 09 so if this is just slightly better with just a few new things then I know I will like this and won't regret buying it. Call me a fanboy if you want but I do enjoy playing Madden.

Maybe it wont sell AS well, but if you think they are going to sell so little that it will really effect them, you dont know anything. EA is a huge company that has more than just the Madden series to keep them afloat. And if Madden has sold well in years past when there was basically nothing to be excited about, then this year, it could be huge.

I am one of the biggest Madden critics on here, and havent been excited for Madden in 3-4 years. This year, I get more excited each week. Its not being brainwashed. In years past under the old devs, we were pretty much just TOLD about newer features in the game, but they never panned out. This year, they have been SHOWING us what theyve been working on and PROVEN they are listening to fan feedback. I wont be convinced its a good game until I play it, but the new team has PROVEN they are actually listening, some they never did under Ortiz.

And some people are just crybabies. The Madden team has come on here and been generous in giving us info, yet people like the OP still cry. Newsflash....they dont have to do any of this. I remember a guy the other day saying that in most sports tiitles, you know everything that is going to be in the game 4 months ahead of time. All I could do is laugh at that guy. If thats true, why when MLB 09 came out was everyone like...WHOA!!?

In short, the Madden Calendar is a 3 part calendar. One One part is a religious
calendar that is broken into 260 days. (20 weeks of 13 days) Next there is the
solar calendar that represents 365 days similar to our own calendar.

These two parts can spin, one inside the other as cogs or gears. Thusly Madden
days rotate around the solar days which indicate special significance.

The third part of the calendar is the "Madden count" which can sequence the first
two parts forward into the future but only to the date of August , 2009. It
just isn't possible for this calendar to go beyond that date, it predicts record sales for Madden 2010...

Exactly. So we are brainwashed because we are happy that problems that were issues with Madden for 5 years or more have been addressed with the new dev team and we have see them first hand via the Monday blogs?

I hate how people say others are brainwashed just because they are excited for the game. Anyone who has been a follower of the game can see the shift of focus with the new dev team. It isn't like they are giving us broken promises since they show very early in game examples of how it will look like in the game.

I honestly hate these types of threads. If you were dissapointed with madden for the past few years than that's resonable but to not see the change that there has been in terms of what is going into Madden 10 compared to previous years is just unreasonable to me. If anything, the ones who the OP don't think are "brainwashed" are the ones who are since anyone with a brain should be able to see the changes that have been made. How can you say people are brainwashed for being excited about things that they have wanted to be in madden? It makes no sense.
