Ah, crap. Didn't realize I'd started this so late. Not that it matters, because once I finished my chages, I couldn't upload them anyway. Fucking patch.

Monday, November 2nd, 1987: FOOL News: Free Agents File
As midnight approached last night, would-be free agents across Front Office Offseason League lined up to formally file their papers, officially putting themselves on the open market.

General managers across the league enter the fray today with different approaches -- mortgage the franchise to snap up the stars or simply maintain the status quo?

Headlining the list of names filing for free agency are these players:

1. José Batista, 34 year-old starting pitcher
2. Curt Vallis, 33 year-old starting pitcher
3. Shunsen Kichida, 25 year-old starting pitcher
4. Arturo Pereira, 34 year-old starting pitcher
5. William Pennington, 25 year-old starting pitcher
6. Todd Campbell, 32 year-old starting pitcher
7. Jesús López, 37 year-old starting pitcher
8. Charlie Wilson, 35 year-old center fielder
9. Shihei Endo, 25 year-old starting pitcher
10. Ramón Chávez, 33 year-old right fielder

New file is up!

You must upgrade to OOTP 9.2.11 to use this file

You can download the patch here: http://www.ootpsupport.com/Kiig87gk845/ootp9211pc.zip

Please remember there are no Minor League contract offers allowed for tommorrow evening (Free agency night 1)

Also, Tasan has been punished to 6 more weeks on the FOOL Board by popular vote.

Let me know if anyone has any problems with the file tonight.

I'm on 9.2.11, and it says it can't connect to the FTP server when I try to update.

Try to manually update using the league file posted in this thread:

League File/HTML - Front Office Football Central

Let me know if that works.

I have so done. Still no dice.

The file is up-to-date, but I can't connect to update or export.

Want I should break out a packet sniffer, or you have another idea?

Ok, I think I have fixed it. have to do another upload though. Sorry for the problems. People might have to do the manual update of the file once it is up as well.

Ok, try to download it again and see if this works now. You likely will have to manually update with the league file location from this thread: League File/HTML - Front Office Football Central

You think you feel bad. I gave him up for Domenic Shearer, who couldn't break into my rotation and who I eventually let walk for nothing.

Abbott and Holcombe both former ATL farmhands. At least I kept Abbott, now a two time MVP winner, until he hit free agency.

What an utterly craptacular FA pool.

What's the point of having cap room if there's nothing to spend it on? :P

Just a heads up, my wife and I are currently watching a netflix movie on the computer that I run the FOOL sims from. We have it sent over to my big screen flatpanel television on the wall, but I can't run OOTP on the computer monitor while watching the movie (It causes it to break up)

So the sim will start about 15 minutes late or so tonight.

Correct, sorry about that. I confirmed all three had no export on the ftp server at all, and it wasn't just a version issue.

So the sim will start about 15 minutes late or so tonight.

What movie? Not that you have anything better to do then play Roger Ebert....

I just imported it two or three times and it finally took. Sometimes OOTP does that.

Philadelphia. I've watched it a ton, but my wife had suprisingly never seen it before. (She moved to this country in the late 80s, so didn't see alot of the early 1990s movies at the time)

On an unrelated note, if anyone is a member of netflix and wants to see my ratings for movies, drop me a PM and I'll add you to my buddy list on there.

Hart and Torres? Terrific, nice young signings. Missed out on Blake and Ellis, but then the offers they got blew mine out of the water, so fair's fair.

Ann Arbor and Boston spending big on the kiddies.

Hart was my #1 target. I didn't even bother throwing an offer at Fitzgerald.

Not bad pickups there. I put in a 1 year on CF Fitzgerald that got blown out of the water. Oh well.

LOL.

Actually, I have been able to update with tonight's file AND export for tomorrow's sim successfully.

I think it best if everyone who might not have done so yet, patch and then download the zip file and make a fresh and shiny new FOOL folder.
