The Rules

These are the copy and pasted rules from the very first The FOFC “I’m With Stupid” Contest, written by QuikSand.

The object of this contest is to answer the questions posted below, and to provide the most common answer among those submitted. For each question, your score will be equal to the number of people who submitted that response. Your score for the contest will be the product of your individual question scores. Highest score wins.

There aren’t many rules or clarifications necessary, but here are those I can think of:

No collaborating in any way. No posting your answers to this board, nor sharing them by email or in any other way with other potential contestants.

All determinations of “matches” and anything else requiring judgment fall to that of the sole administrator of this puzzle, Nothingman. You can reduce the need for doubt and judgment by properly spelling your submissions, being clear, that sort of thing.

Any references that are unclear to you, due to language or geography, should be understood to be authored from the perspective of an English-speaking American. However...

Your answers do not necessarily have to be correct in order to score points. If I ask “name a color of the rainbow,” and you and four other people responded “black” - you get five points, period, even if it is not technically a correct answer to the question.

Submit your answers by Private Message to Nothingman before Monday 23:59 Eastern Time.

1. Who will win the NBA championship next season?
Lakers - 32
Spurs - 2

I thought that the general anti-Lakers sentiment on the board and the fact that Kobe was charged would produce a different answer. Oh well. I guess everyone thinks he's innocent.

2. Assume you're a raging warhawk. Which country should the United States "liberate" next?
North Korea - 17
Iran - 7
Syria - 4
Libya - 2
South Korea - 1
Liberia - 1
France - 1
Canada - 1

No, Libya and Liberia are not the same...

3. Who is your favorite Beatle?
John Lennon - 20
Paul McCartney - 10
George Harrison - 2
Ringo Starr - 2

As expected, John and Paul are the top two. Not as close as I would have thought, though.

4. Name a famous Jew.
Jesus - 14
Jerry Seinfeld - 6
Albert Einstein - 5
Adam Sandler - 3
Joe Lieberman - 1
Benny Disraeli - 1
Sandy Koufax - 1
Fran Fine (The Nanny) - 1
Moses - 1
Woody Allen - 1

This was the most interesting question. I would have picked Seinfeld or Einstein to win. I thought I would get a few Jesus answers, but not this many.

5. Name a member of the X-Men.
Wolverine - 33
Professor X - 1

Okay, so this question was pretty terrible. I figured Wolverine would win, but I expected more votes for Professor X. Perhaps a question asking to name one of the lesser-known members would be interesting.

6. Who will lead the NFL in rushing next season?
Ricky Williams - 19
LaDainian Tomlinson - 6
Priest Holmes - 5
Marshall Faulk - 3
Corey Dillon - 1

Not very surprising.

I can't believe I'm the only one who picked Corey Dillon to win the rushing title with the explosive Bengal's offense.
