IWS #46
Questions for IWS #46
Questions 1-3 are by Chief Rum. I take responsibility for questions 4-6. 1. Who will win the NBA championship next season? 2. Assume you're a raging warhawk. Which country should the United States "liberate" next? 3. Who is your favorite Beatle? 4. Name a famous Jew. 5. Name a member of the X-Men. 6. Who will lead the NFL in rushing next season? Winners' List Of Honour Ahbrady - IWS#15, IWS#41 Airhog - IWS#1 Albionmoonlight - IWS#30 Archer219 - IWS#18 Ardent Enthausiast - IWS#6 Bbor - IWS#23, IWS#26 BishopMVP - IWS#36 Blade - IWS#13 Bryce - IWS#40 Bsak16 - IWS#6, IWS#9, IWS#17 Chief Rum - IWS#45 Cuervo72 - IWS#27, IWS#38 Desert Dweller - IWS#6 Digamma - IWS#14 EagleFan - IWS#41 Hammer755 - IWS#38 HeavyReign - IWS#23 Henry296 - IWS#12 HornedFrogPurple - IWS#10 JeeberD - IWS#44 Joe Canadian - IWS#29 John Lynch - IWS#10 Maple Leafs - IWS#34 Marmel - IWS#8 Masked - IWS#22, IWS#30, IWS#31, IWS#33 Msf518 - IWS#11, IWS#15, IWS#35, IWS#39 Neuqua - IWS#19 Nothingman - IWS#6, IWS#45 Panerd - IWS#3 Pjstp20 - IWS#42 Primelord - IWS#11 QuikSand - IWS#9, IWS#16, IWS#18, IWS#24, IWS#32 Qwikshot - IWS#5 RendeR - IWS#6 RobbieDobbs - IWS#37 RPI-Fan - IWS#9 Samdari - IWS#21 ScottVib - IWS#9 SplitPersonality1 - IWS#4 Sterlingice - IWS#28, IWS#31, IWS#35 Sublime - IWS#25 Swaggs - IWS#2, IWS#35 Tredwel - IWS#6, IWS#9, IWS#20, IWS#43 TRO - IWS#7, IWS#9, IWS#12 Vince - IWS#37 The Rules These are the copy and pasted rules from the very first The FOFC “I’m With Stupid” Contest, written by QuikSand. The object of this contest is to answer the questions posted below, and to provide the most common answer among those submitted. For each question, your score will be equal to the number of people who submitted that response. Your score for the contest will be the product of your individual question scores. Highest score wins. There aren’t many rules or clarifications necessary, but here are those I can think of: No collaborating in any way. No posting your answers to this board, nor sharing them by email or in any other way with other potential contestants. All determinations of “matches” and anything else requiring judgment fall to that of the sole administrator of this puzzle, Nothingman. You can reduce the need for doubt and judgment by properly spelling your submissions, being clear, that sort of thing. Any references that are unclear to you, due to language or geography, should be understood to be authored from the perspective of an English-speaking American. However... Your answers do not necessarily have to be correct in order to score points. If I ask “name a color of the rainbow,” and you and four other people responded “black” - you get five points, period, even if it is not technically a correct answer to the question. Submit your answers by Private Message to Nothingman before Monday 23:59 Eastern Time. |

Sent. This definitely has the potential of either clustering to a few answers or scattering all over the place. Should be interesting.

1. Who will win the NBA championship next season?
Lakers - 32 Spurs - 2 I thought that the general anti-Lakers sentiment on the board and the fact that Kobe was charged would produce a different answer. Oh well. I guess everyone thinks he's innocent. 2. Assume you're a raging warhawk. Which country should the United States "liberate" next? North Korea - 17 Iran - 7 Syria - 4 Libya - 2 South Korea - 1 Liberia - 1 France - 1 Canada - 1 No, Libya and Liberia are not the same... 3. Who is your favorite Beatle? John Lennon - 20 Paul McCartney - 10 George Harrison - 2 Ringo Starr - 2 As expected, John and Paul are the top two. Not as close as I would have thought, though. 4. Name a famous Jew. Jesus - 14 Jerry Seinfeld - 6 Albert Einstein - 5 Adam Sandler - 3 Joe Lieberman - 1 Benny Disraeli - 1 Sandy Koufax - 1 Fran Fine (The Nanny) - 1 Moses - 1 Woody Allen - 1 This was the most interesting question. I would have picked Seinfeld or Einstein to win. I thought I would get a few Jesus answers, but not this many. 5. Name a member of the X-Men. Wolverine - 33 Professor X - 1 Okay, so this question was pretty terrible. I figured Wolverine would win, but I expected more votes for Professor X. Perhaps a question asking to name one of the lesser-known members would be interesting. 6. Who will lead the NFL in rushing next season? Ricky Williams - 19 LaDainian Tomlinson - 6 Priest Holmes - 5 Marshall Faulk - 3 Corey Dillon - 1 Not very surprising. And so we have a four-way tie with 100% of the possible points. Congratulations to Cornhuskerly, Noop, Vince, and NoMyths! Have fun with #47. |

w00t I already hosted one, so I'll pass on this one to one of the other winners. If you want some help with the questions, let me know, but otherwise I'm looking forward to #47.

I can't believe I'm the only one who picked Corey Dillon to win the rushing title with the explosive Bengal's offense.

Alas...I'm moving this week, so won't have time (not to mention my inexperience w/the contest would mean I'd probably just repeat questions). Anyone who wants to run with it is welcome.

Well, I guess Vince could still do it if he wants to, since he was one of the winners also. If he doesn't, I guess whomever wants to can run #47...
