OT: RayOVac Recharge?
Anyone have and or tried one of these puppies out yet?
My kids have tons of "AA" battery toys as well as my digital camera and quite frankly this sounds really tempting at $28 - the batteries can be recharged 1000 times?!? Todd Last edited by MizzouRah : 10-19-2003 at 08:42 PM. |

Sam's Club has an Energizer charger that comes with 8 AA 1850 mAh batteries for only about $20, but only takes AA's and takes quite a bit longer than 15 minutes. Good deal though being 8 of the 1850 mAh batteries alone would cost more than $20 elsewhere.

my family did this back in the day (cheap bastards). So long as you didn't abuse the batteries, they would last a year or 2 before recharging them wasn't doing much.

I used a different version a few years back. Took well over an hour to get a "full" charge. The "full" recharged battery certainly wasnt as long as a regular battery. Doing normal things like dropping them seemed to affect the charged batteries as well.

Thanks for the Sam's club advice, I'll have to check them out.
I've seen these years ago, but Rayovac's are new and supposedly quite good, just haven't seen much write ups about them yet. Maybe I'll check epinions. Todd |
