Fun Tech Support Question

Is there any way that I can replace the missing/corrupted hardware abstraction layer DLL (hal.dll) file on our Windows Server 2003 without having the installation disk?

Or am I SOL?

Quick google search, not sure how safe this is to do or if the file works:

yeah i saw that website - problem is i think (from google searching also) that hal.dll files are specific to OS and version and that one doesn't specify what OS it is for (although i am guessing it's WinXP)

aaaah

well i just found the .dll online too. thing is now that i don't have a bootable linux distro with me right now so that i could use that to boot to in order to install the file.

*sighs* we'll see if our tech support guy can dial-in and do it before i resort to spending my afternoon on that
