New Intel i7, i5 systems

Been getting the itch to buy a new laptop and ebay my old T60. The new Arrandale performance is really significantly better than the C2D.

There are some good Lenovo deals but the ones with the discrete GPU is over my budget. Is there anyone with a i7 or i5 systems that can comment on the Arrandale's IGP performance?

I love my i5 system. I was able to play dragon age with a 5 year old video card and actually had decent framerates on decent settings.

If you get the chance, I would be interested in how your i5 desktop (?) plays games (or any other applications) without the graphics card.

The question I am trying to answer is:

Other than for GPU intensive games, what else does the native IGP choke on.

I'm interested in impressions of the new chipset as well. I'm looking to get a new laptop in the near future and have been looking at an i5 or i7 with an nVidia 310 or 320 GPU.

I got a new i3 Gateway laptop for just text sim gaming and dicking around this last weekend. It's light years faster than the HP I just got 15 months ago (4GB, Vista, Turion dual Core), not to mention the 3x battery life.
