WYSIWYG Editor Problem

I want to use Microsoft Word to edit posts for a dynasty thread, but I'm having problems with formatting characters appearing in my posts. Everything looks normal when I copy and paste, but what I see, isn't what I get. Here's what I get:

Interesting. Having never done a study on whether young talent or positional ratings is more important in player development, I’m not sure what to think about this guy. I’ll be watching offensive player development closely.>>

Hmmm....code tags sort of work, but the lack of word wrapping is a problem. Let's try this:

It took me about a day or two to decide that the WYSIWYG editor just screwed things up for me, without any aparent benefits, and I just turned it off. I'll be watching to see if you reach a different conclusion.

Interesting. Having never done a study on whether young talent or positional ratings is more important in player development, I’m not sure what to think about this guy. I’ll be watching offensive player development closely.

DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Randal Hardwick

KICKERS/PUNTERS: Average

DEFENSIVE LINEMEN: Very Good

LINEBACKERS: Fair

SECONDARY: Average

Well, we should definitely see our defensive line (which is young by the way) come around quickly under this guy, so that is encouraging. I’ve got some young LB’s who I’d like to see developed, so that is a concern.

How are you editing in Word - editing HTML in word? In standard word format? etc?

Do you like using frontpage as an editor? What do you need in a dynasty editor?

Not that this has anything to do with the utility I was talking to you about at dinner the other day. :-D

Just typing in stuff. Standing word format. Given that we HAVE the WYSIWYG editor, one would expect that it would work that way, rather than doing a bunch of coding.

No, I was just trying all of my different possibilities for what would work. I prefer to edit in word, primarily because of autosaving capabilities. I've lost a long dynasty post from time-to-time because I hit the wrong key when editing it at FOFC.

What do you need in a dynasty editor?
Sheesh. A few things that come to mind...

1. Something that would automatically pull and format position-by-position scout ratings so I wouldn't have to do that myself. I'd like to just have a listing of my 3-4 QB's, ready to paste into FOFC, and be able to comment on them.

2. Auto-copying stats isn't that important. It is easy enough to copy the team summary at the end of the year, but if a utility offered the abililty to grab a some important year-end reports at once (team summary, league awards and team statistics come to mind) and have them ready-to-copy-and-paste, that would be sweet.

3. Something that has some basic formatting already locked in: "2004 Atlanta Falcons Position Reports", then sections down the page for "Quarterbacks", "Running Backs", etc. Again, it would be great to have the text already formatted, copy and paste my list of QB's in, and just have to write commentary.

4. (This would put things over-the-top). Since that utility is out there that reads player cards and cycles through them, I'd imagine that this is a possibility: the ability to cycle through all of the player cards on my team, and capture a screenshot of each (cropped to see only the stuff shown, for example, in my IHOF Tucker thread in the dynasty sections), and save them to files with names like "qb12johnson.jpg", "qb11jones.jpg", "rb34walker", etc. (Hey, I might as well ask!) They'd need to be relatively small file sizes, but high enough resolution to read the important data. That way they could easily be uploaded to a site, and added to the position-group reports.

Of COURSE it doesn't.
