Premier Boxing Champions

I've watched a ton more boxing in the last few years because of this series. Last night, with a card that was only the 2nd on CBS in primetime in 40 years, saw two interesting fights. Erickson Lubin is the real deal as a prospect and maybe the next huge star. Thurman vs Garcia was one of the best 1st rounds I've seen since Hagler vs Hearns.

PBC is great. Glad to see Thurman get the decision - I was afraid he was going to get robbed there for a sec.

A Thurman loss would have been his own fault. Don't get on your bike and run for the last 2 rounds if you want to be sure of a win. Still, that was a great fight and I hope to see a rematch.

Yeah, I was not a fan of his last three rounds. He could've easily kept outpointing him by keeping up what he had been doing. I know he didn't want to sit down and get caught, but it didn't win anyone over, and made the decision unnecessarily close.

PBC has renewed my interest in the sport. Thurman is a quality fighter, though the way he closed that fight is not how he has made his name. Stick with what got you there.

GGG definitely got the "champions" benefit of a doubt tonight. Jacobs executed his game plan better, was a close fight, but I thought Jacobs did enough to win. I hope he gets a rematch if GGG gets past Canelo.
