Who owns Julio Franco's soul?
I'd have to say the devil, because he's better than guys half his age.
Oldest player with a multi-homer game. Oldest player with a multi-steal game. Did it in the same series. Oh, and I think the Reds are the team you need to play to break out of a funk. |

I saw where he was first signed as an amateur free agent in 1978(he wasn't even drafted). Three more years and he will have been a professional baseball player for 30 years.

Has he played in 4 decades, then? In the pros?

I want the Reds to hold a huge party for Eric Milton whenever he sets the HR record. We didn't honor Dunn for setting the strikeout record last year and we need something to look forward to.
I think Tom Browning would come out of retirement and still pitch better than Milton this year. I wonder what Danny Jackson is up to now...

Y'know, minus the two seasons he missed, Julio would be looking hard at 3,000 career hits, and just have gotten them. Just an amazing athlete.
edit: Err, I worded that pretty badly, but you know what I mean. If he had played those two seasons, etc.

Any team that was dumb enough to give Milton more than the Red Sox gave Clement deserves exactly what happens to them.

Yes but according to the Reds GM the reason we signed Milton over players like Clement and Lowe is because no one else wanted to play in Cincinnati.
