Straight...sorta.
The baseball draft, especially near the front, has a lot of picks that have changed hands because of free agent compensation, and they also have a lot of sandwich picks. So if you go in there strictly expecting one team to follow the other, you'll get pretty confused. But the basic alignment before the changes are made is straight.
