Their maps and directions print like crap compared to Mapquest though. If I want something quick I can memorize I go to Google, for longer ones I print them from mapquest.

I thought you meant in World of Warcraft and that this was in addition to the real life satellite maps I'd already seen. Hey look! That's Arthas's house!

I like Google Maps but I've had problems with their directions too, they tend to be a little too literal which makes things confusing. Of course this is a problem with other sites too.

Another thing I found was that for longer trips, it defaults only to Interstates, when taking US Highways would be shorter and faster. Case in point, going from Austin to Amarillo, it says to take I-35 to OK City, then I-40 to Amarillo. It is much faster to take 287 from Fort Worth to Amarillo. That whole Pythagorean Theorem comes in to play in this instance...
But I am sure that they will get that worked out, as they've impressed me with just about every product they've introduced over the past few years.

Google makes one proud to be Dutch.
Edit: at least they could have added our country.

My road is several years old and in a subdivision of over 200 homes, and yet it still is not on a single one of these maps. We must not really exist.

Google seems like the Apple of the Internet- they make all sorts of crazy good products and seem very creative at what they do. But unlike Apple, they seem to market themselves well and not need the iMac, iPod, and gobs of Microsoft cash to resurrect them.
