Tho official 2009-10 NFL Regular Season Thread

First pre-season game kicks off tonight, anyone else pumped for NFL football, even if it is just pre-season.

I am hoping to see alot of Kenny Britt tonight.

I'm curious about seeing the Bills return to the no-huddle offense. Should be a fun 1st quarter to watch.

So the Niners are already calling each other out. First Davis calls out Crabtree, then Gore calls out Davis. That team is going to be really fun to follow.

Unfortunately Britt is hurt a hammy and won't be playing until next preseason game. But we will have a chance to see plenty of Vince Young

Actually, I am really curious to see four players for the Titans tonight:

-Jared Cook, speedy TE from South Carolina who has been getting some great reviews early in camp as a possible impact guy real early this year.
-Javon Ringer, possibly the new 3rd RB for the Titans and the heir apparent to Lendale White after this seaosn when he hits FA.
-Chris Johnson, RB has picked up right where he left off and sounds to be getting more involved in the passing game with his 4.28 -40 speed. Lest we forget he was a WR for a good portion of his college career.
-Nate Washington, gives Collins a real go to receiver and is getting comparison to Derrick Mason in Tennessee.

I wouldn't compare Washington to Mason. Mason was always more of an undersized, but smart and solid player. Washington's game is speed, but he's not going to catch a whole lot of underneath stuff and move the chains. Washington is a better version of Devery Henderson, but not much more.

Brady just laid out a PERFECT 56 yard ball to Randy Moss that was broken up by PI from Asante Samuel (called), otherwise Moss makes the grab.

Brady looks fine so far.

DT,

Brady sure is back and with that pass defense they sure as hell are going to need him. Still Pats should go 11-5 and win the AFC EAST.

It's hard to question a coach with the success that Bill Belichik has, but I'm not sure putting Brady at Defensive Tackle is a good idea.

What I meant tool bag was as bad as the pass defense is looking to be they will need to score 40 points often to win some. Though I have little doubt that is what they will do.

Just remember to use the "End 2 hours after scheduled program end" option as the 3 hours the network alots to these is almost never enough. Someday CBS will learn and stop scheduling "60 Minutes" at 7PM...

No problem, thanks for the reminder. I splurged for the XL HD Tivo specifically for this reason as it can hold up to 150 hours of HD. Also, since it can record two shows at once, my wife's stuff won't get pre-empted, meaning it will still have a high Wife Acceptance Factor.

<- giddy with excitement!
