Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern
Thought I'd put up a post as I know there are some fans of this show on the board. The new season premiered last night. I'm sure it will be reshown several times this week. He visited Phuket, Thailand for the opening episode. It's the village area that got hammered by the Tsunami a few years ago. Lots of bugs and seafood in this episode.
Next episode is a visit to Italy. |

My wife and I watch this and the other night we discovered we just don't like the guy. Frankly, it's kind of a tough show to do because it consists of him eating weird (and to most Americans, disgusting) foods, him chomping on it, going "mmmmmmmm" and then maybe describes the taste a little.
While I don't mind the occasional, "oh man, I'd never eat that, but it's fun to watch someone else do it," I think it's officially getting removed from the DVR.

I was really into the first couple seasons and then my interest kind of tapered off. These days I catch it when I randomly flip past it but I don't really go out of my way to watch new episodes. I guess the novelty kind of wore off but I hope he visits South Korea soon as I'd love to see the foods I may have missed on my visit.
