So if I got this right, two strikes and you're out, and you don't have to make your pick until Sunday, so you're not screwed if you miss a Thursday game. |

Thanks for creating this league Korme. I don't feel extremely confidant with Week One games, not even my beloved Cardinals. So I went with Philly. Playing at home against Jacksonville, even though I think Jax will be improved this season, seemed like the pick with the best odds of being right this week.
(Philly will now lose 51-3) |

Yeah that's me-the risk taker. I actually may be changing my pick-I'm going to be watching to see if Cam Newton is going to be playing or not this week. If not, his backup is Derek Anderson-who from his days as a Cardinal, I know will suck. Tampa Bay is looking like a pretty good pick if Newton is out. |

The 2 most popular picks nationally were Bears and Eagles...both are losing by multiple scores.

Well looking through the Week 2 matchups, definitely some good choices there, but given both teams Week 1's play, I have to pick my beloved Cards against the Giants. Even though they are playing at 1pm on the East Coast, against an old NFC East foe they usually don't play well against, etc. I'm just imagining Eli Manning having to face the pressure the Cards will bring and collapsing like a house of...um Cards.
Eli will now throw for 500 yards and 5 TD's. |

Didn't the Eagles win by multiple scores? I went with that bandwagon to stay alive (and were even happier that I steered away from my initial pick, Kansas City).

Yeah they did, Jacksonville got out to a big early lead and it was quite scary but Philly roared back and won fairly big. edit: Jacksonville was up 17-0 at the half, Philadelphia scored 34 straight in the second half. Last edited by Radii : 09-12-2014 at 11:30 AM. |

Well about half of us have one strike already through 2 weeks. Luckily I am not one of them, deciding to stay with my beloved Cards pick despite the late change in QB. Still up in the air if Palmer might start for them this week, and if he doesn't, the 49ers might be a good pick this week given how Stanton played against the Giants. Can't go there though because there is at least two "can't miss" picks this week:
New England at home vs Oakland-that's where I'm going this week. The 0-2 Colts will likely beat up on the hapless Jaguars on the road. Other potential good picks I think-the aforementioned 49ers if Stanton is the QB. Bears over the Jets? Houston over the Giants? Saints over the Peterson-less Vikings? Dallas over St. Louis? Cincy over Tenn? |

I got a strike for forgetting to submit a survivor, which is a bummer because I probably would have went with the Eagles.

Doh. Forgot to make a pick and I'm out.
Was hoping I'd still be able to make a late choice on the MNF game.

I went with more aggressive picks in week 2 and 3 instead of safe ones, hoping to hold on to New England and Denver and the like til later in the year. I picked Tampa to beat St Louis in week 2 b/c I thought St Louis might be a historically bad team. Turns out Tampa might be too! And I thought Carolina would beat Pittsburgh, donezo!

Starting to get tougher to find good picks now. Would like to go with New Orleans against Tampa at home, but after Tampa stunned Pittsburgh and NO playing like crap, not willing to take that chance. Speaking of Pitt, they get the "who is playing Jacksonville" answer this week, and can't pick them after they lost at home vs Tampa. San Diego would be a good pick at home against the Jets, but I've used them already.
New England is at home against the unbeaten Bengals, but the Bengals don't seem to fare well in games like this, and NE is something like 14-1 against AFC opponents at home. So I'll pass on that game too. That just leaves the Monday night game Seattle at Washington. Can't see Kirk Cousins having much luck against the Seattle defense, so I will go with them this week. Good luck everyone! |

Well last minute change by the Vikings from Bridgewater to Christian Ponder as starter makes it a lot easier to take the Packers at home tonight instead of Seattle.

Thought I might struggle this week and had to go with a risky pick, but thankfully I still have Denver and they travel to the ...Jets. I suspect something similar to the Cards game last week-Vick gets injured and Denver totally controls both sides of the ball against the hapless Jets.
Chargers at Oakland also looks like a good play-maybe San Fran on MNF in St Louis. Interestingly enough right now Seattle is the third most picked team, playing at home against 4-1 Dallas. Second most is Arizona which seems very risky especially if Palmer/Stanton doesn't play. Last edited by Thomkal : 10-08-2014 at 01:45 PM. |

Almost every game this weekend looks like a trap game. I've been leaning towards Atlanta, but it's about 50-50 with Tennessee and the pick-against-Jacksonville approach.

As a now neutral observer, I feel like Arizona's a pretty solid choice this week. You could also do worse than to pick Denver this week.

Well six of us are still perfect and quite a few still alive with one strike. What team will we be cursing after they let us down this week?
If you want an "easy" pick, better sign on and take the Patriots over the Jets tonight. Though this seems to be a "down season" for the Pats, can't imagine them losing at home with a national TV audience against the hapless Jets. Sadly I've used the Patriots so had to look elsewhere. Dare you take a "resurgent"? Buffalo with Orton at the helm against a Minnesota team missing Peterson and Bridgewater not looking superhuman yet? May finally use my Seattle pick as they travel to the Rams. Here's a big gamble, winless Jacksonville hosts the "suddenly hip" Browns. Do they have a letdown after an emotional blowout win against Pittsburgh? Baltimore looking like a good pick at home against Atlanta, but Atlanta can score a lot of points on any given day. Dare I suggest you take the good (gasp hard to say that) Cowboys against their hated rivals the Giants? Carson Palmer and the Cards travel to Oakland to (hopefully) get payback for the cruddy teams Oakland had (and still have) when Palmer was there? I'd have taken Arizona in a second here if I still had them available, but since I don't I'm going to gamble and try to save teams I have more confidence in for another week. Yes I will take the Browns and hope they keep the poor Jags without a win. I see on that page that Cleveland is the third most picked team this week, so I won't be alone at least if they lose. Who are you going with this week? |

Best options for me this week are Seattle, Dallas, Baltimore and Arizona. Although Seattle and Arizona don't really count under my strict home teams only policy.
