OT Some French Footballer may go on strike
Just read this story - ah shucks some of the Arsenal footballers may go on strike to support the French poision about the war.
Personally I thought it was funny, and as i detest arsenal, I'm hoping they do and it causes them to lose the English Premier league. Why do sports stars think that anybody cares if they do something stupid, they only hurt their team and themselves. Sun Newspaper link |

Heh...as soon as I saw your post, I thought Henry would be involved.
Man, I have to refamiliar myself with Arsenal's roster...Pires, Vieira and Henry would all be huge losses for that side. That said, as you say, good riddance. Arsenal isn't exactly one of my faves in the EPL either. Chief Rum

Football and politics dont mix. This has been proven time and time again. Why take away from the world's game?

Wait, to protest America's actions they're going to stop playing soccer? Do they even know anything about our country?

Wiltord is also an important player on that side. Henry's understudy, Allardiare (sp?) is another a Frenchie.

So...their immediate reaction to warfare is to stop competing and let the other side win without opposition. Isn't there some kind of term for that?
Oh, yeah. Surrender. |

There's so many possible one-liners here that it's just too easy. Sorta like overruning a French unit.
Oh wait, bad analogy. That's actually quite difficult, those $@%#$% are pretty good at running away.

All that it would prove is that Arsene Wenger is an idiot for relying on French footballers in key squad positions. The next big story would be the loss Arsenal takes on transfers sending those guys back to the French leagues.

Much as I like the idea of Arsenal players going on strike (by Tuesday please!), I think I ought to point out that the Sun isn't exactly the most reliable source. Don't get your hopes up.
