A good printer.
Anyone have a printer that they don't want to throw up against the wall? I've had a variety of different ones over the years and wanted to go Samir on all of them. I also wonder if the problem might just be windows. Something doesn't want to print, you can't delete it from the print manager, have to reboot computer.
Anyways, would like to keep this around 300 or less ideally. Don't think I want to go the route of a laser jet, merely cause of the toners. What I want. 1. I hit print, and the printer prints. Without question. 100% of the time. 2. wifi probably |

In all fairness, Michael Bolton actually showed more of a disdain for the printer than Samir did....

Those two goals seem at odds. In my experience, it's not the printer that is doing things you don't want. It's when you start to add in that wireless or network connection that things can go wrong (not that it can't be done, but the network is usually much more at fault than the printer).

I gave up on spending much money on printers several years ago. Going cheap (under $100) and expecting that they'll die at any given point seems like a safer bet.
That said, we splurged a bit on the last one and got this wireless, all-in one earlier this year for about $130: Amazon.com: HP Officejet 6500 Wireless All-in-One Inkjet Printer: Electronics It was relatively easy to set up and (knock on wood) it has worked well, so far. |
