Three "Doomsday Scenario" articles: 10/04, 09/04 and 12/01

Links to these have been posted in other threads, but perhaps are getting buried (especially in the long one). I thought I'd consolidate them. These articles are probably all worth reading, and rather chilling.

Houston Chronicle/Free Republic, December 2001

AJC, September 2004

National Geographic, October 2004

The interesting thing is that they all seem to operate under the assumption that New Orleans would be covered in water due to a storm surge over the levees, rather than a break after the storm. Other than that, the end results so far seem to be exactly what the articles said would happen.

I predicted it on this board over two years ago!

FOFC's Nosterdomus?

Ignore the edit part. I just had to change the spelling on a word. And I am not sure why all of the replies had nothing to do with the hurricane.

I don't get why these are "chilling" or whatever. Seems like a bunch of people predicting what might happen if something that is very possible happens. It's like if a meteor hit the earth tomorrow and people claiming that Armageddon or Deep Impact was prophetic. I'm sure they have computer modeling and other stuff for 20 tornados hitting Kansas or Arkansas at once or something.

Yet John Travolta survives!
