Zombie Apocalypse (PSN)
Apparently there' s an option for four player online co-op.
Anybody up for some zombie killing action sometime this week? Curious to see how multiplayer affects the onslaught. |

Is this game any good? I saw it was out there, but hadn't purchased it.

I didn't buy it but tried the demo before having a few friends over on Saturday to look for a good co-op game.
Seemed like a pretty bland dual-stick shooter to me. I didn't see anything too interesting. If you like that style of game though it might be ok. It looks nice. Personally I think Burn Zombie Burn is a much more interesting PSN Zombie mauler type game. |

I love the 'Cash, Guns, Chaos' game, so it may be up my alley. I'll have to check out the demo. |

No kidding. There was a time when I wasy dying for a good Zombie game and there was nothing to be found. Now everyone is shovelling them out as quick as they can.
Still nothing quite like what I want. I can't wait for more of a strategy/RPG hybrid. Thinking along the lines of Zombie X-Com, but maybe a real time solution, as I'm not sure how well zombies would work turn-based. I want to meet other survivors, build defenses, send out parties to scrounge for supplies. Instead we will probably just see waves of these dual-stick shooters or FPS games, just to taunt me even more. I did read something about some ex-Troika guys working on a game similiar to what I want, but no idea if thatll ever happen or what it would end up as. |

I've always thought that kind of game would be awesome. Sort of moving your band of characters across the US with random encounters, set encounters and large, over-arching plot of some kind. Quote:
That said, I do love playing L4D. Granted, I am a bit spoiled, since I have a good group of friends who also all play it, so it's constantly a good time without the aggrevation of the occassional random idiot.

It's not a game of the year contender, by any means, but it's got hordes of zombies, multiple weapon power-ups, and the ability to chainsaw them back to death. Plus multiplayer. For, what, $10? I don't know if you can really expect a whole lot more than that. |

Can you play 4 player co-op locally?
