Me, too. It could be a great game, or it could be one either team runs away with. It'll be interesting how this one goes down.

I hope the game is better than the commercials. A lot of times, it seems it's the other way around.

I'm pulling for the Seahawks but I have serious doubts about their ability to overcome that tough Steeler defense and I don't think they can put pressure on Big Ben. But I'm rooting for them!

I'll be at home with the family, but the FOFC is just a laptop connection away.

I would love to see Pittbsburgh get an early lead, no one plays with a lead better than they do. It would also provide us a lot of Bus time while they're grinding away.

And I think the Seahawks have the second ugliest uniforms ever (current Bengals are #1), so i'll root against them on principle.

I'll be rooting against the Steelers more than rooting for the Seahwaks. Gotta keep another team from tying the Cowboys five Super Bowl wins. Having the Niners with five also is bad enough, but having the Steelers there as well? Ick.

Let's just all throw our predictions in here, see who's closest.

I'll stick with the conventional - I don't have a strong feeling this will be the traditional Super Bowl blowout.

I don't think Seattle has an answer to Roethlisberger's downfield passing attack while Pittsburgh can be so much more than sending Porter from the outside. Seattle has more talent overall, but the better defense will win the game. Pittsburgh, 24-17.

I think it will be a 24-20 type game. Seattle winning on a late 4th quarter Alexander TD.

I'm rooting for Seattle, because I feel they've been getting no respect, but I wouldnt' care if Pittsburgh wins (I don't feel strongly for either team). I do think it'd be hilarious if Seattle won in a blow out after all the talk this week.

However, I think both teams score in the 20. I'm going Seattle 28 - Pittsburgh 20.

Seattle has the highest scoring offence in the NFL this year. I just don't see any way that the Steelers can slow down both the run and the pass of Seattle. They will shut one of them down and will be killed by the other.

Seattle had the 4th best scoring defence in the NFL this year, and they were even better in the postseason. Seattle won't completly stop Pittsburgh, but they will limit Roethlisberger greatly.

In the end Seattle wins in a blowout, 45-20

The Steelers had a great run in the playoffs, but they were a #6 seed for a reason. They are not some unstoppable force. There are plenty of examples of how to beat them. Seahawks get up a score or two early, start handing it off to Alexander, and the Steelers' gameplan falls apart.

By the way, I just came back from a very crowded grocery store. There were at least 30 individuals with Steelers gear on. Not a single Seahawks cap, shirt, etc.

I have a question.

If the Seahawks win, would consider them to be the best team in the NFL this season? Even after beating the NFC #6, NFC #5 and the AFC #6?

Always up for debate. But no one really cares about the "best" team, they just care who won the Super Bowl.

The Colts were the best team in the regular season, the Steelers have been the best postseason team so far. The Seahawks have yet to impress me.

Without a doubt the most overhyped sporting event of Earth. a 57-56 game could not live up to the hype that leads up to the game. I think when it comes to NFL Football conference chapmpionship weekend is far superior. Having said that, Steelers by 3.

the best team doesn't always win the superbowl.

still waiting for that combined conference playoff tree.

So if (and yes, it's a big IF) Seattle wins today, they'll have won 14 out of 15 games to close out the year. Even having a "soft" regular season schedule, they would have stepped up and beat a tough Washinton D without the MVP for a majority of the game, beat a Carolina team with a great D and a guy many were starting to say *should* have been league MVP (and if that block in the back flag doesn't get picked up, that game is even more lopsided), then defeated the first team to ever beat the #1, #2 and #3 seeds to get to the Superbowl (including, of course, the ONLY team in the NFL that had a better record than Seattle), and yet a lot of people (as evidenced by some sentiments in this thread) will consider them lucky/fluke/paper champions?

I personally won't have that difficult of a time with it as I'll be much more concerned with just celebrating the fact that they won, but I just can't understand the reasoning behind so much apparent distasted for Seattle's achievements this year.

That all said, I'm calling 24-20 for the Seahawks today. The defense once again manages to bend but not break when it really matters. Matt Hasselbeck for MVP after a late, 80+ yard drive to win the game.

No doubt, just like the Elite Eight Saturday & Sunday is by far the best part of March Madness.
