2003 FOFC in-house NFL pick'em challenge, week 3
31 players made picks for week 2, and so far 36 players have made picks in either weeks.
CLICK HERE to see the standings after week 2 Here are the very simple rules of the challenge:[list=1][*]Simply pick the winner against the spread for 4 games in order of your confidence.[*]Points will be given or taken from your season total score depending on if you picked the winner or not in your 4 games.[*]Game #1 is worth 4 points, #2 is worth 3 points, #3 is worth 2 points, and #4 is worth 1 point.[*]If a game ends in a tie with the spread, you don't win or lose any point for it.[*]Your picks must be posted in this thread before kickoff of the earliest of your 4 games. Failure to do so will invalidate your week of play (you will get no points).[*]You can start playing at any time during the course of the season.[*]I will usually post the results of the week (and the season so far) on Tuesday in a new thread that will include the spreads for the coming week.[*]I plan on taking my spreads from intertops.com. If intertops doesn't have a line for a game, I will take the average line presented on the usatoday spreads page. Once they have been posted in here, they will not change over the course of the week.[*]DO NOT EDIT YOUR PICKS once you have posted them in the thread. If you want to change your picks, simply post a new list of four picks in a new post.[/list=1] I might add more notes to this if necessary. I have not set a maximum number of players, whoever wants in can play, as long as they follow the rules and post their picks in here, following the format explained below. Here are the spreads for week 3... WEEK 3 (all times eastern) Sunday, Sep. 21 Jacksonville at Indianapolis (-7.5), 1:00 pm Minnesota (-3.5) at Detroit, 1:00 pm N.Y. Jets at New England (-6.5), 1:00 pm Tampa Bay (-4) at Atlanta, 1:00 pm Kansas City (-7.5) at Houston, 1:00 pm New Orleans at Tennessee (-4.5), 1:00 pm Pittsburgh (-4.5) at Cincinnati, 1:00 pm Green Bay (-7.5) at Arizona, 4:05 pm St. Louis at Seattle (-3), 4:05 pm N.Y. Giants at Washington (-2.5), 4:05 pm Baltimore (-1) at San Diego, 4:15 pm Cleveland at San Francisco (-7), 4:15 pm Buffalo at Miami (-3), 8:30 pm Monday, Sep. 22 Oakland at Denver (-5), 9:00 pm Open date: Carolina, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia I think you know the drill by now. Simply post your four games below, in order of confidence. I'll post mine a little later on this week. Good luck everyone! FrogMan

Do you always pick visiting teams, or did it just happen to fall like that for two weeks in a row? I assumed last week your pick was the first team (always the visiting one) and I'll assume again this week... FM

Here are the season standings sorted by points, after three weeks of action. WSUCougar hangs on with yet another perfect week. Congrats to him and to the other 6 prefect weeks we had this week... At the other end of the spectrum, your truly wasn't able to even pick one right... Oh well...
I'll post the spreads for week 4 in a new thread a little later... FM Code:
