Senior Day is a success in Minneapolis! The Gophers defeat Iowa, 34-27. We finish 3-9 and collect our only conference win of the season. Momentum for next year, baby!

We went into Athens and knocked off the 20th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs 24-3, ending any BCS hopes they had. They threw five picks in the game. We go to 6-4 on the season, becoming bowl eligible, and head out to Los Angeles next weekend to take on our arch rival USC (Eaglesfan27). Hopefully we can garner some votes this week.
With Georgia falling, likely to drop out of the Top 25, I suspect this loss will have a hidden impact on the BCS rankings. Last edited by Galaxy : 10-03-2008 at 10:50 PM. |

You should be in if you can win out. Florida State, provided they win out and take the division, and Virginia Tech will have to play each other for the ACC Championship. That will put you in the pole position when it comes to the Top 25 and BCS rankings. Throw in your game against South Carolina, that will give you a huge boost. The last two at-large berths are belong to (10) USC-0.944 and (11) South Carolina-0.940. (12) Arizona State-0.939, (13) Indiana-0.923, and (16) Penn State-0.896 are looking from the outside in. Arizona State needs for USC to fall to get into the BCS Bowl bash, due to the two teams per conference limit. Also, when did the WAC become part of the Alamo Bowl? Also, how are they sending the fourth-place team in the WAC to the Alamo Bowl? Last edited by Galaxy : 10-04-2008 at 01:33 AM. |

Miami scores 14 before I run my first offensive play(TD on the opening drive, and I fumbled on the kickoff return). I was able to tighten up and tie the game up in the 2nd quarter, but Miami's defense and speed was overwhelming in the second half, I wasn't able to score in the 2nd half, I need to recruit a lot more speed to win these games. Miami beats Georgia Tech 27-14.
With the loss, I will finish the season 5-6 and will not be going to a bowl game. As long as this doesn't cause us to drop from a 4* prestige team to 3*, it will be fine, as we're doing well in recruiting this year and should be improving. |

The Beehive Boot stays nice and secure in the BYU Trophy case and thats 3 years in a row BYU takes the Holy War from Utah!
43 - 40 win and I do not know what has happened lately but I am giving up a lot on the ground lately on the defensive side of the ball. It's definitely an area of concern for me. The best part about it, this defense will only be better next season. Max Hall is looking like a major Heisman Candidate with almost 600 yards passing and 5 TDs and 1 maybe 2 stupid INTs. O'Neill Chambers is going to be a great WR for us for the next few years.

We are playing in some BRUTAL lag. I dunno if its the XBL servers or what but I can't change my guys on some plays. Not sure how much it woud've mattered as I am being humbled 34-0 in the fourth, though three scores were direct results of INTs, with two pick six's and one INT inside my 30.
My slow offense plus OSU's sick defense = forgettable results. |

5 INT's later this game is mercifully over at 37-0.
Once I got down my offense that did work was out the door and I had to throw, which I hate to do with this team and especially vs OSU. Five INT's later, you have 24 points, and a blowout. But for morale purposes this game was really 13-0. But seriously Nej is good enough on D as it is, give him OSU's defense and it's unreal. Actually I was typing this up with 45 seconds to go, I managed to throw a sixth INT trying to score. Rough. But really I only loss 13-0. Honestly. The other stuff doesn't count. |

I think Nej will agree the lag killed this game. It was virtually impossible to pass half the game, which killed me. But regardless I don't think I would've won.

That was the LAGGIEST game I have ever played. The lag I think helped both of our defenses because timing passes and controlling ball carriers was near impossible. The reason for the large score was that I was fortunate enough that DeToxRox likes to throw into coverage Normally I'm a bit better on offense(as Im sure Michigan is). He is very good at controlling his defenders. For anyone interested, I will upload a few videos here in a few.

Bignej gets to play for the national championship title, and crush Kodos' hope for a shot at the Big Ten co-championship and an automatic BCS bid.

I had no illusions that Michigan might win. Good season, Bignej. Congrats on the Big Ten title. Second in the Big Ten ain't bad when you're Indiana. Especially since we were predicted to finish in 10th place. Go Hoosiers!

Thanks. Now its a few weeks off to get rusty. I do believe that Indiana will still get a BCS bid due to Ohio State being in the NC game. Last year Illinois was #17 I believe and they got in under the same circumstances.

I think they can as well. They just need a little help. I'm sure they'll be crossing the line next and rooting for Notre Dame to defeat USC/Eaglesfan27 next week (not to mention us winning helps their strength of schedule). Last edited by Galaxy : 10-04-2008 at 03:48 PM. |

Looking to recover following our Week 12 thrashing at the hands of Penn State, Indiana traveled to hated Purdue and comes out with a 30-28 victory. The Boilermakers scored a TD as time expired to make the score closer, but IU keeps the Old Oaken Bucket. Junior RB Bryan Payton led the rushing attack with 15 carries for 140 yards and 2 TDs, as we gashed the Boilermaker defense for 250 rushing yards to finish the season 11-1, and second overall in the Big Ten. Bring on another bowl! Go Hoosiers!
Here are Payton's TD runs. This run gave us a 7-0 lead in the 1st quarter: Payton got his second TD off of a Lewis option pitch: Last edited by Kodos : 10-05-2008 at 03:47 PM. |

I managed to pull a win out of my ass against my rival this week. Michigan State showed up ready to PLAY today and I'm lucky as hell to have won this game. My fast but rediculously innacurate QB threw 4 picks and I had to completely abandon the passing game in the second half. I was down by 2 TD's to start the 4th quarter, and wound up tying it up with about 3 minutes left. Michigan State charged back down the field though and scored on a 1 yard run with about 40 second left in the game. My stud Wideout took the ensuing kickoff to the 30, broke one tackle, found a lane, and took off outrunning the entire MSU special teams for a 100 yard Kickoff return to tie it up with almost no time on the clock. In OT we traded touchdowns, in double OT we traded field goals, and in TRIPLE OVERTIME I picked their QB off after sacking him on first down. A few runs up the gut later I was banging home my game winning field goal to bring the Land Grant trophy back to Happy Valley. I had the last of my recruits visiting in this game, and it got a 1600+ score so hopefuly that was exciting enough to land some hard signs. No more games for me until my bowl game.

I just walked in on my quarterback watching Smurfs cartoons with his pants around his ankles. I'm not sure if he was turned on by Smurfette or Brainy. In any case, if we had a bowl game coming up, I'd suspend him for it.

And Clemson downs Virginia in Charlottesville 55-35. God...Virginia was annoying to play against. Their QB Lalich had a pretty nice day going, until falling apart a bit in the 4th.
Davis and Spiller had big games, and Willy Korn once again relieved Cullen Harper, throwing a TD and an INT. I need to cut down on stupid throws, but besides that, the offense is looking good.
