Kodos, I see that you and I are jockeying for the top spot with the #1 punter in the country. He's leaning toward you now, but I'm working on getting him to Minneapolis!

YAHOOOOOOOOO! Al Francis, 4-star QB has given a soft verbal to ME, CLEMSON COACH!
but....4 star C Aaron Dawson gives a soft verbal to Coach Radii and Georgia Tech. I'm gonna see if I can steal him!

I hate this stupid game. I am up 31-28 and I am stuck frozen at the play call screen. I can't even access the dashboard.
I am just simming this game I think because this is beyond frustrating. |

We lost 20-17 to Purdue via sim.
I am more so miffed that my game froze up 3 but Purdue was driving late and may've won it anyway. I may take the drastic next step and just buy a new damn game. |

We'll folks, we fell to Indiana in a 49-42 final. It was a rather wild and open game. It was like a replay of game at Washington. Now, 4-4, we have a tough slate coming with BC (SirFozzie), USC (Eaglesfan27), Georgia, and Syracuse. We are going to tone down the schedule for next season a little bit.

Now, you just threw four interceptions. Of course. we gave them back via interceptions (2) or a fumble. Last edited by Galaxy : 09-22-2008 at 12:26 AM. |

It has the results on EASportsWorld, but I haven't been able to connect since exiting the game. I don't know if just having your result is good enough, or not, but I'm trying to hang around until they're back up. Can you get in?

Well, the one right before the half doesn't count. That was basically a lob deep hoping for a score. |

This sucks. Sign in just fine, but it shows that we haven't played. I had the same problem last week when I played in the NOFL. Didn't save. Nothing has changed in my connection settings or anything like that, so I'm not sure what's going on. Whatever you want to do Kodos is fine with me.

I posted a note about it at Operation Sports, where the EA guys sometimes show their face. We'll see what happens. I'm pretty ticked at the moment.

We host #22 Florida State this week, needing to find one more win to become bowl eligible.
Our defense is great in the first quarter. Unfortunatley, we miss a 39 yard FG(this will be important later) on our opening posession. We force FSU to go 3 and out the first 3 times they have the ball, but at the end of the first quarter, they go 55 yards on 3 plays to take a 7-0 lead. In the second quarter we're finally able to get on the board, kicking a 39 yard FG with 4 seconds left in the half, Our defense was once again stellar, and we go into the locker room down only 7-3. We put together a long drive to open the 3rd quarter, the key play being a 29 yard pass to out Tight End. We end up punching the ball in on 1st and goal at the 1 later in the drive. 10-7 Yellow Jackets. FSU comes right back down the field for their own score and takes a 14-10 lead into the 4th quarter. We're driving though, and a very hazardous pitch on an option yields our second TD early in the 4th quarter. 17-14 Georgia Tech The play of the game on the Tech side is a big INT in FSU territory with 4:30 to go in the game when the Seminoles were driving: We stick with the run, eat up some clock, pass when we need to and it takes 3 minutes for us to go from the 30 to the 10 after that INT. We can only manage a FG though, and we lead 20-14 with 1:30 left, that missed FG looming large. FSU moves down the field slowly, with 1 time out and 21 seconds to go, its 3rd and long when this play happens: I got a little dive happy on that play, something along the lines of "oh god, oh god, oh shit they're going to score STOP THEM" and pounding the X button, but I don't think my defender was going to catch him anyway. They score with 10 seconds left on the clock. There's no miracle on the extra point or Kickoff return, and we go down 21-20 to Florida State. Did I mention that I missed a 39 yard FG in the 1st quarter? uGH. |

With that loss we're 5-4, with a game at UNC, and a game vs #20 Miami left.

Nobody signed again, I noticed today I am going up against a few of you on my recruits but most of them are scheduled for a week 11 visit so I think that is when I will get the majority of my soft verbals and signings.

I hear you about the MNF game (provided the Jets lose). That sounds good. Hopefully the connection is better, and the game doesn't lag a little bit like it did last night (which I wonder is why it didn't save). Maybe God really is a Notre Dame fan? Last edited by Galaxy : 09-22-2008 at 10:58 AM. |

Come on Galaxy, knock Indiana out of the top 10. I mean, there is only room for one completely out of place, unrealisticly ranked, and undefeated team up there...(which will most likely end once we play the Trojans)

I will be uber-pissed if we lose. I mean, it's not even like other games where the outcome was still in question. We finished the game and IU won. If the result changes, or if we take on a significant injury, I will be very upset.

I can't blame you. If we do somehow win, I won't feel overly-joyed about it in the same way if it was a regular win. I had the same feeling last week with our game with Bigsmooth last week. We we're down 3, driving around the 30-35 yard line of Washington, 1:29 left to go, and 3 timeouts in our pocket. Not saying that we would have won, but I think we had a really good chance. Not Bigsmooth's fault or anything at all. Last edited by Galaxy : 09-22-2008 at 01:39 PM. |

I'm having a great time , especially in the recruiting battles. I think this league would still be fun with simmed player games because recruiting is such a blast. No game for me this week as I'm gearing up for Illinois, Northwestern and the state up north.

This week's top 25 poll:
Lot of upsets and changes this week. We have a new number one, with Ohio State and bignej. Georgia fell to LSU this week, as Virginia Tech fell to Florida State. South Florida is one of three teams to fall out of the Top 25, falling to Louisville who has a losing record. Texas, despite a 4-4 record, climbs back into the top 25, along with a surprise team in 6-2 Mississippi State (who checks in at #25). I will start posting the BCS rankings either next week or the week after. |

We'll folks...We didn't get the chance to knock off Kodos and the devilish Indiana Hoosiers. How much did we lose by? A half a yard, if that. Think the Rams-Titans Super Bowl on the last play. We tied it late in the 4th quarter, before Indiana threw a long strike to go up 38-31 with about 30 seconds left. We got a good kickoff return, with two timeouts. I decided we could use the sidelines and the middle of the field, given what Kodos was showing in his defensive coverage and schemes. We managed to drive to the Hoosier ten yard line, with two seconds left. We came out and threw a pass to a receiver that was open in the end zone. He was running out towards the ball, catching it at around the two yard line. He turned, but about three Hoosier defenders managed to stop him around the half-yard line. Can you start a new rivalry any better?
Oh, I never knew you had the ability for formation subs (you click RB when you at the formation screen?). I wish I would have known that. It might have changed my play-calling and strategy all year. Last edited by Galaxy : 09-23-2008 at 12:12 AM. |

We won, but it wasn't by much:
Senior backup free safety Joe Kleinsmith takes junior WR Robby Parris down short of the goalline to avoid overtime and preserve the win. Truth, Justice, and The American Way prevail... just barely. Last edited by Kodos : 09-23-2008 at 12:18 AM. |

Just wait until next year. With our young roster getting another year of development, and what is shaping up to be one of the top recruiting classes loaded with speed (Rashuan Drew, provided he coverts his soft verbal to a hard commiment, is a Percy Harvin clone), you'll have your hands full. |

We've proven nicely that we can beat you with a somewhat inferior roster. The complete disparity in recruiting power will no doubt mean the wins will be few and far between. But why would anyone in their right mind commit to a top 10 team when you can commit to a .500 has-been team?
