I don't get it

What is with the Adrian Peterson Heisman hype? A couple of online 'experts' have Peterson at the top of their Heisman list and an ESPN.com poll has Peterson wining by a fairly large margin. Why?

If you only look at stats for RBs, then it goes to JJ Arrington. If you go by importance to team, you can't look past Cedric Benson. Where does Peterson fall into the equation? I've honestly tried to look at every area I could and can't see why Peterson would rank any better than #3 in the list of best RBs this season. Throw in the Quarterbacks and I have a very difficult time seeing him in the top 5.

I think he's in the top five, but people go on hype, and he has received plenty of that. Plus, he looks amazing when he's running, and I think that has something to do with it.

Personally, he'd be number three on my ballot.

I'm very surprised Benson didn't get an invite to NY.
