TCY: Conference realignment?
Anyone think Jim will update the conferences for this upcoming season?
Or can we expect this to come in TCY:2 later this year?

I'm hoping Jim continues to update FOF. I still think there are a number of features he can implement.
The ones I'm hoping for most: 1. Ability to import a game from FOF2k4 (maybe provided upon whether or not inflation is being used) 2. Players become more than just a little disgruntled, and demand to be traded. 3. A way to take a set of plays each week and dump them into a "virtual binder" to be used as a game plan. 4. Much like TPF, the ability to tender different types of offers, and have draft picks as compensation. 5. a better pre-season, whre teams will not play starters as much and more expanded rosters with cut-down dates. 6. Undrafted Free-agent bidding. 7. More detailed contracts with incentives and clauses. |

No way he does another version of FOF at the moment.

Say what you want about this, but TPF had a very very good first generation release,(plans are in the works for a TPF2) and if he doesn't keep on top of this, he could end up losing huge amounts of support for his flagship product. I for one am not sure he would be willing to take this kind of a risk- I know I wouldn't. |

And if he doesn't watch it, somebody is bound to offer some competition. He currently owns the college football text sim market. There are multiple companies with text sim college hoops games, it stands to reason someone, somewhere will eventually challenge him in football. If he waits too long he could have the market pulled out from under him.

Fearless predictions:
1) If he updates TCY, we'll get a new version of FOF later on this year. 2) If he updates FOF, we'll get a new version of TCY later on this year. 3) If he updates both FOF & TCY, we'll get a new game, sometime. Could be next year. 4) If he updates neither... I don't think Jim would leave us hanging like that. |
