Canes national championship dreams over?
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=1629270
This injury is HUGE for the canes, especially with FSU on the schedule next week. Brock Berlin is still learning the position and Payton is not a feature back. I think the best option would be to move Jason Geathers back from receiver. It will be interesting to see what the canes will do to take pressue off Berlin now if they have trouble running the ball. |

Man, that is rough for Gore. He's going to lose big money in the draft whether or not he comes back plays well for another season. This is good for probably 5-10 slots at least.

Especially consider his history with knee troubles.

No I don't think the loss of Gore could ruin their run at the championship. Miami is one of a handful of teams that has superb depth everywhere. They will get their yards running by committee if they need to, their offensive line is very solid. I would be much more concerned about their defense.
Florida State's defense may be the best in the country. The amount of speed they have on that side of the ball is absurd and the games I have watched they dont miss tackles. But of course since I said that they will lay an egg next week. |
