I ended up giving up. Everytime I loaded the file back into the editor, the numbers were screwed up and the names kept changing on me. I'm sure I was doing something wrong, but I just got frustrated. I just suck at editing, maybe HM can post a "how to edit" thread?

Allright, I will start working on the 83 file when I am done the 89 file. Your problem stems from one of three things at least if you are using the current version of the editor, older versions it was much easier to get this to happen
1. Searching in a column for something than entering in data without first leaving the cell and coming back to it. 2. Using home, end, page up or page down, than entering in data without first leaving the cell and coming back to it. 3. Any form of mass copy and pasting, just bad mojo from the get go. What is happening here is when you perform these certain operations the editor still thinks that it is on another cell not the one that is currently highlighted. Than you enter data into the cell which is in some random location but the kicker is you see the information entered into the cell you want it in but upon reloading it, it has been entered into some random location. The way to figure out if the editor is ready to accept data is if the cell of data number in the footer has changed than the editor is locked on to the new cell. |
