2008 NFL FOFC High/Low - Week 5

The Rules:

-Pick one team for the High and one team for the Low. You may only use each team once for the High and once for the Low per season.

Ex.

High: Dallas
Low: Washington

-Scoring: High score minus Low score

Ex.

High: Dallas 35
Low: Washington 13

Score for the week: 22

If your Low outscores the High, you lose 10 points + 3x the difference between the low and high scores. If you miss a week, you are penalized 50 points (you can PM me with picks at any time if you know you will not be available after the weekly thread is posted) and will have a random team chosen for your high and low that you won't be able to select in future weeks.

If you miss 2 consecutive weeks, your score will no longer be tracked.

If this is your first week playing, you lose 25 points per missed week plus as many random teams from your pool of teams to play for high and low as weeks missed.

The participant with the highest score at the end of the season wins.

Please make your picks in this thread.....

A quick note that RendeR has the dubious distinction of being the only person to have his lows outscore his highs all four weeks.

Heck no, just want to stay alive at this point. Then I can swoop in the last week with a masterful pick that puts me ahead of hoops.

Here is your chance, Thomkal:

High: Dallas
Low: Buffalo (have no idea why I'm betting on your Arizona Cardinal defense)

heh Hoops I have no idea why you are either. I don't think Buffalo will put 56 on them, but 20-25? sure. Interestingly enough we agree on the high though.

High: Dallas
Low: Baltimore

Mostly because with five men left I'm playing to be last man left standing more than I'm playing to be atop the points standings. So if I'm going to burn a strong offense like Dallas in a good matchup I would prefer not to burn a strong non-offense during the same week.

It creates a little higher risk in a given week, but hopefully some reward in having more attractive options available in later weeks. One of these times I'm going to get burned by doing something stupid like this ...

Going to be an interesting week. Ryche hasn't picked yet, but so far 4 of the last 5 all have different picks this week.

I see where you are coming from hoops. I tried that last week with NO/HOU, and I nearly got burned. I'm not all that thrilled with Baltimore this week, so hopefully Dallas will score lots of lots of points for us this week.

(sorry Cincy fans)

And they're doing it with fairly different picks too. Puts some pressure on the folks that picked Dallas later today to keep up!
