ok registry repair help
Allright in my efforts to upgrade to the latest and greatest Puresim I've run into a runtime error. The PS forum indicated I could find relief by running an active x repair tool.
Now I've downloaded and installed about three of these, all of which identify numerous problems, but refuse to fix them unless I spend $35. I've seen reference to free tools, but haven't actually found any. Anyone have any experience with this? |

free ones are fine and they're out there. ccleaner has one built in, and you should probably have ccleaner if you don't already

that being said...google for the reputation of any one that you want to buy. some are more aggressive than others and can cause problems even as they fix them. and make sure to backup your registry before changing it

Allright.
CCleanup didn't do the trick. I'm pressing on. Any further tips will be appreciated. The error by the way was run time error 429 'Activex component can't create object' |
