Does anyone else think it was slightly ironic....
that at the same time Jack Nicholson was watching his lakers get pasted, that he was shouting "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH" on TNT (or TBS, I can't tell the difference).
I think it must be a conspiracy..... |

It's slightly like rain on your wedding day.

I think that' s just plain stupid, not ironic. I know, that song didn't even make sense.

Was it just me, or did one of the refs say, "I can't believe we lost," after the game?

How about that cool thing where they took the obvious foul away from Kobe and gave it to the other guy? That was classic. |

Speaking of TNT, their coverage of the NBA is outstanding.. Am I the only who thinks the NBA should give ESPN and ABC the old heave-hoe (sp?) and go strictly with the two Turner Networks, TNT and TBS Superstation?
TNT just has a knack for this, in much the same way that ABC does for Monday Night Football and NBC for, well whatever they broadcast nowadays.. Inside the NBA is Excellent... At times I've stayed up late into the evening, even when the game proceeding the show is a complete blowout, just to check out Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and the Chuckster.. ESPN definitely has a long way to go... and you know what really blows? TNT no longer has the Draft.. That's right, ESPN has that now as well.. $@$@#&

I actually like ESPN's team of Tirico and Tolbert. Jim Gray must leave sports broadcasting and go sell insurance. The TNT studio show is unparalleled (how the F*CK do you spell that) but I like the game coverage on ESPN. To me, Tirico is the best in the business at announcing anything.
But, back on point, I was switching back and forth from the Jack Nicholson stunned look to the red in the face you can't handle the truth speech. I don't know if irony is the right word, more like the television version of harmonic convergence. I was simply in awe.
