The FOFC All-Time NFL Team (Poll 1 - The 1990's, Round 6)
Because this place has a lot of football fans, I thought it would be a good chance to solve the argument of which team is the greatest in NFL history. I'll have a poll for the 1960's, 1970's, 1980's, 1990's and 2000's. I will only include teams after the AFL/NFL merger and after we have selected a top Superbowl winning team for each decade, there will be a final round with each decade's winners competing against each other. (I may include the runner-ups in the 70's, 80's and 90's in the final poll because the 60's and 00's have less choices.)
First up, Poll 1 - The 1990's! (Future Polls: 2 - The 1960's, 3 - The 1980's, 4 - The 1970's, 5 - The 00's) Pick the team you think least deserves to be on this list and eventually we'll end up with what you consider the best Superbowl team of the 1990's. PREVIOUS RESULTS: Round 1 - Voted Off 1995 Dallas Cowboys with 23.81% of vote (2nd place 1990 N.Y.Giants and 1999 St.Louis Rams with 16.67% of vote) Round 2 - Voted off 1999 St. Louis Rams with 33.33% of vote (2nd place 1990 N.Y. Giants with 25.64% of vote) Round 3 - Voted off 1990 New York Giants with 39.29% of vote (2nd place 1997 Denver Broncos with 28.57% of vote) Round 4 - Voted off 1997 Denver Broncos with 35.29% of vote (2nd place 1991 Washington Redskins with 23.53% of vote) Round 5 - Voted off 1993 Dallas Cowboys with 33.33% of vote (2nd place 1994 San Francisco 49ers & 1996 Green Bay Packers with 20.0% of vote) Because the choices are narrowing, I've provided some stats in subsequent threads to refresh your memory.

Ya'll know that the '92 Cowboys were at least one of the top two teams in the nineties. It's rough being hated because of your greatness...
That being said, Death To The Faggot-Niners!!!

I'm just wondering what will be higher, votes for the Cowboys or number of players on that team that were arrested...

Ummmm, isn't there a standard amount of time for the poll to run? And hasn't that time long since passed? The Cowboys are gone! Are you gonna pull a DaleJrFan (whatever his name was) and stop the poll now that your favorite has been eliminated?

No, actually I always let the polls run until they get close to 40 votes.
It is a little disappointing to see the Cowboys being voted off but not because they're my favorite team, but because any football fan that knows jack about the game knows that the 92-93 Cowboys were much better than most of the teams on this list. The 49ers had to have a free agency bonanza to finally beat Dallas, Green Bay had to rely on retirement, injuries, free agency and Jerry Jones to hurt the Cowboys before they could stop being punked out of the playoffs and Dallas made quick work of anything left in Washington and New York in the early 90's. I hate the 70's Steelers but I'm not going to vote them out of the 70's poll because of it, I have respect for good football. |

Thanks for a very unbiased opinion there. Apparently all other teams suck.
I'd take the Terrell Davis/John Elway Broncos over your Cowboys any day. |

Put aside the biases, and those Packers just aren't in the same class as those other dominant teams.

They did have the league's MVP, as well as #1 rated scoring offense, scoring defense, and total defense (#5 total offense). That puts you in a pretty good class. |

I see the plan is to let them catch up and then stop it. Can't say this thing has much credibility. We have already hit the magical 40 mark. The Cowboys should be gone.

Boy, you guys really hate the Cowboys! I would have stopped it if it wasn't so close. I always try to get as many votes as possible, and will keep bumping it when it's this close, especially with the late rounds. You can check the previous polls if you'd like to test my credibility. |

Okay, you guys win! Honestly though, this wasn't meant to be a Survivor type poll. I forgot about the Survivor concept of kicking off the people/teams you hate and quickly changed the title of these polls to All-Time FOFC Football Team after the first few weeks after realizing people might treat it like that. These aren't random teams, these are every team from every decade. Favorite team or not, sad to see one of the NFL's greatest powerhouses get kicked out early. I hope it doesn't happen with the 60's Packers, 70's Dolphins and Steelers, 80's 49ers, etc. If it does, I might end up including obvious choices in the final poll as wild card candidates because no final poll is legit if some of the dynasties are left off. BTW, where the heck did all those votes against Dallas suddenly come from? LOL They were both 1 or 2 votes away in a tie for a long time and suddenly Dallas received about 8 votes! Okay, which Cowboys hater registered a bunch of new FOFC names just to kick off the Cowboys.
