Any Joe R. Lansdale fans in these parts?
I'd never heard of this author until I went to a book signing of his last week at BookPeople here in Austin with my boss. The guy was pretty damn entertaining during the Q&A. My boss is also an author, and has a decent queue right now of books he promised to review, so he gave me his copy of Lansdale's latest book, "Vanilla Ride".
I gotta say, the guy is a pretty damn good storyteller. I later found out that he wrote the book "Bubba Ho-Tep", but didn't have anything to do with the screenplay for the movie. I'm going to check out some of his other books. Anyone else here familiar with any of his works?
