Ryan S doesn't get his due around here.
Ryan doesn't get enough credit for making this place what it is today. Those that have been around a while know this story, but it is worth repeating.
Around 4 years ago, Blackadar made the decision to add new moderators. Ryan and myself were chosen. Just a couple of months or so later, he decided that he wanted to completely give over control of hte board to someone. He chose me. Ryan could have easily left at that point. He doesn't post that much, but he has FARRRR more technical knowledge than me. He could have easily taken it as a slap in the face. He didn't. Instead, Ryan has worked quietly, usually behind the scenes, for four-ish years, to help improve a community that he doesn't really participate in all that much. When I took control, we were using a very unstable version of UBB. I decided that we should purchase vbulletin, but didn't have a clue how or where to install it. Ryan did. He took care of it. We've upgraded vbulletin several times since then. Ryan has done it. We've had to communicate with Gamespy regarding technical issues. Ryan has done it. We've had database errors from time to time. Ryan has fixed them. Pretty much any technical issue that has come up, Ryan has coordinated with others, done the research if necessary, and gotten the problem dealt with, all to improve your FOFC experience. I just think he deserves a big, public, THANK YOU, RYAN!!!
