VindicoSuite

Anyone know why some links within FOFC are running through x.vindicosuite.com? Operation Sports get hacked?

I have seen this too. I have no idea what that's about.

Yes, was seeing it as well. Cleared cache and it seems to be doing better.

Googled about this a cpl days ago. Apparently it's something that happens from time to time with this particular adserver.

So legit extra tracking. Maybe I'm done with FOFC then...

Have noticed it and it has caused a couple of issues when trying to load a page. Annoying as hell when it hangs there and it says it is trying to load that site.

I've let my contacts at OS know of the concerns expressed here, and linked to this thread.

FWIW (in case the powers that be do eyeball this thread) it was the page hangs that caused me to notice & start trying to figure out what vindicosuite was in the first place.

Yep, maybe every 5 or 6 visits the forum doesn't load for me, and I need to refresh.

That's what caught my eye and led to my google searches for vindocosuite as well. Was about to post a thread when I saw this one pop up.

I use a windows hosts file, and recommend it for anyone on Windows. Vindicosuite.com is considered an offender.

I run into stuff I just can't run every now and then, but I'm sure it's because ads are being blocked. TINSTAAFL.

Took 8 tries to get anything to load on the forum today. And once the forum loaded, this very thread was one that took a half dozen tries to open.

Whatever it is, it's getting worse.

Honestly, has a real final deathblow feel to me if they don't dump this crap pdq.

I've put in another request for status from OS. I'm not seeing this issue myself. Any other updates from others?

just took me 6 tries to get this thread to open. I had to actually close my browser twice. I agree that it is getting much worse.

After setting up the Tracking Protection and loading a protection list I haven't seen it pop up. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I've got ABP running, have still had issues. It's behaved thus far today however.

Just got another email from OS. It doesn't appear to be something intentional from the OS side. They've now got their head tech guy looking into the possibility that FOFC is specifically "infected" (their word choice there.)

FWIW, I've seen this flash by the status bar (or whatever) when loading OS for months and months. It's definitely not new. There's, in fact, a ton of stuff that loads when you load FOFC, but honestly that's not unique to pretty much anywhere on the web these days.

OS believes that this is fixed and that the Sitemeter widget at the bottom of the forum was the cause. It has been removed. Any other issues?

Looks to be skin specific -- Yellow, vbClassic, and MacOSx look to be fine, the rest still have the issue (and the sitemeter widget still).

edit: FOWL style seems fine too.
